USA Network Surprises In 2009

Did you guys know that the USA Network was the basic-cable network with the second largest viewership in 2009???
And it's not from their 12-hour Law and Order: SVU marathons, either!
Although basic-cable giants TNT came in first with 7.75 million viewers for their hit, The Closer, the USA Network wasn't far behind.
USA's original dramas (Royal Pains, White Collar, Burn Notice) brought in the numbers for the network, with close to 7.2 million viewers in the 18-49 age range!

I've watched Burn Notice since the first season! LOVE IT! Started watching Royal Pains this past summer, but lost interest. Didn't watch White Collar, but it looked good, I think something else was on at the same time.
i watch tnt and usa all the time. they have really good shows! better than half of the crap on cbs, nbc, abc and fox

In Plain Sight and Burn Notice are AWESOME
I refuse to watch USA since they cancelled La Femme Nikita several years ago. That was "the" must watch series on that channel & when USA fired the network honcho that brought Nikita & other shows like Silk Stalkings to USA; the new boss cancelled all of them. Nikita was only on air for 6 seasons & that wasn't enough. Roy Dupois is such a hottie. He was then & still is now.

Also, how can these shows beat out those on FX??? I know Rescue Me is beyond help & lost it's magic 3 seasons ago…(GOD I'm tired of this show), but what about the spectacularness of It's Always Sunny in Philly? Sunny is one of the best network cable shows, up there with True Blood & cancelled FX shows like Thief & The Riches. (I would compare True Blood & Sunny to cable shows currently on air, but like these current shows listed on USA Network, most cable series suck.
I only lasted one season with Burn Notice, for no particular reason. I am really into White Collar right now.

I love Royal Pains, and I can honestly say that I love USA network, they have the best shows and they are always coming up with new ideas… I hated to see Monk go, but I cant wait for Royal Pains and Psych to come back on….

Love, love, love all of them - Burn Notice, Royal Pains and White Collar. I love thoughtful dramas but my brain works hard all day in my business. I follow politics and world affairs religiously. So, occasionally I need something simple and fun. Thanks USA for your fun, light dra-medies.
Personally, I watch USA for the Law & Order: SVU marathons, as well as NCIS and House. Christopher Meloni is so yummy!

Royal Pains and Burn Notice are the best shows out there right now. I can see why the network is blowing up. Maybe TLC should take some lessons. You can have a successful network WITHOUT runing famililes. Hmm what a concept.

Burn Notice RULES!!!!! If you haven't watched it, you are seriously missing out! Love, Love, Love Burn Notice - the cast is AWESOME (although, Fi needs to put on a few more lbs). Royal Pains is cute; White Collar is great, too - although, it is a little comical how the casting person seems to have a obsession with dark brown hair and very light blue eyes: Matt Bomer, Tiffani Theissen and whoever the girl is playing Rachel or whatever the girl's name is that Matt's character's in love w/. … they all have super dark brown hair and strikingly blue eyes… 3 out of the 4 main characters. Odd. Get some diversity! Nonetheless, a really good show. Keep it up, USA!!!!
