Presenting Sir Peter Jackson

It was announced yesterday that Peter Jackson, acclaimed director of The Lord Of The Rings, will be receiving the honor of knighthood in the new year.
Peter called the news an "incredible moment" and explained, "I didn't think anything would surpass the 2004 Academy Awards, but I was wrong."
Congrats Peter!

YAYYYYYY!! Congrats Peter!!
I already knew this. (: However, that's because a friend of mine in New Zealand is related to him.
cool.
Congrats Peter, well deserved.
He looks so much more healthy with respect to his WEIGHT these days does anybody know how he did it?
holy cow he's lost weight
Didn't he used to be fat?
Wow. Sir Peter is barely recognizable. He's half the man he used to be. Good on him.
good on ya!!
He has lost a ton of weight. Oh, he looks good. Well deserved too. I have all 3 on DVD.
Holy crap he lost weight, quite the hottie now.
wow he cleans up good … has lost a lot of weight and is very handsome
He deserves it. his work is beyond genius, beyond anything. The best best.
A Knighthood?? For what? Butchering a classic book? For proving that one of my favorite books could be transformed into the most boring POS 6 hour movie on the face of this earth?
This is old news in New Zealand but thanks for the post!
He's a legend. He lost the weight by stopping the takeaways and instead eating a lot of cereal with low fat milk.
He's done a huge amount for NZ with all his film work, bringing in a lot of outside industry (ie. Avatar was filmed at his studios with Weta Workshop). So it's very well deserved.
OMGOSH he looks great congrats Peter!
Yeeessssssssssss!!!! you go Peter whoop whoop!!!!
Re: Naomid – The films combined clock in at considerably more than 6 hours. I think you are in the minority opinion on this matter. Sure many fans of the book were disappointed in parts being left out (Tom Bombadil, The Scouring of The Shire), but overall a great, historic job was done. ROTK is the number two most successful film worldwide behind Titanic, the three films made approx. 3 billion worldwide and won 17 Academy Awards. Certainly it was not such a traumatic experience for you to se these films.
whoa! He deffinately looks different.
But congrats! Thats awesome!
In my opinion he is one of the BEST directors/producers ever. He TOTALLY deserves it.
wow Naomid. your a homo. PJ is the man! hes done so much for the nz film industry. he lost weight by living on crackers apparently? and workin long hours so he never ate. good on you my man pj!
