Innovative German modern dance choreographer Pina Bausch passed away on Tuesday, at age 68, in a Wuppertal hospital.

"An unexpected death carried her away five days after being diagnosed with cancer," said a source. "Only the Sunday before last she was on the stage with her company at the Wuppertal Opera House."

The choreographer made a name for herself at the Metropolitan Opera in New York, where she was known for a highly personalized style of dance, including exaggerated forms of expression and scenery.

Later this month, she was to present a performance of the The Seven Deadly Sins at the Chekhov International Theatre Festival in Moscow.

Bausch did what she loved until the very end!

Jude Law & Hamlet Are Broadway Bound

Filed under: Broadway Babies > Jude Law

After a wildly successful and sold out run of the Donmar Warehouse production of William Shakespeare's Hamlet in London's West End, the production is coming to the Great White Way. And, no worries, the aging British playboy extraordinary Jude Law will travel across the Atlantic as well.

Performances will begin open on Tuesday, October 6 at the Broadhurst Theatre and run for a 12 week limited engagement.

The production and Jude have gotten rave reviews and we are rather intrigued to see if it's really as good as everyone says.

Will U see the production?

We've Missed Our Prince!

British actor Ben Barnes was spotted yesterday in Boston, Massachusetts, on the set of his latest flick, Valediction.

The The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian star was filming a few scenes with his co-star, Sarah Roemer.

And although Barnes is sporting the rugged beard look, he's still muy caliente!

What do U think of his new look?

Still saving up for the new Kanye West for Louis Vuitton sneaks?

Never fear, you still have a few more months to earn some extra $$$!

'Nye's $700+ kicks were supposed to be released by the fashion house in Spring 2009, but rumors are swirling around the fashion community that the pricey sneakers won't be hitting shelves until late '09!

Bummer!

Chris Kattan Works Again!

Chris Kattan just landed his first post-Saturday Night Live TV series, joining the cast of ABC's new comedy The Middle.

Kattan plays Bob, a good friend of fellow car salesman Frankie Heck, portrayed by Everyone Loves Raymond nutjob Patricia Heaton.

Sounds like this may also be his first cancelled post SNL TV series!

In August, the comedian will appear in IFC's Bollywood Hero, a three-part miniseries in which Kattan plays himself as he moves to India, because he has been promised a starring role in a Bollywood film.

We wonder if Chris has a dart board with Will Ferrell's face on it?

Attention Twilighters: Eclipse Production Begins In August

wenn-eclipse.jpg

Go pack your bags Twi-Hards and make your way up to Canada because the third installment of Twilight will soon be underway.

The production of Eclipse will reunite all your favorite vampires and werewolves starting August 17th!

Yes, R-Patz will don those golden contacts once again for our viewing pleasure as Edward Cullen and K-Stew will continue to fail to impress as his mortal lady love Bella Swan.

It was just yesterday these crazy kids wrapped on New Moon!

Things are moving quite quickly on these flicks, which is just fine by us. Still no word on the production of Breaking Dawn, though. What gives?!

So Much For Being Unstoppable

wenn-denzelwash98.jpg

A-Lister Denzel Washington is known for his selection of hit films and his most recent project with acclaimed director/producer Tony Scott was on the fast track to start production in a few weeks. But, now, the flick, Unstoppable, has come to an abrupt halt as the studio thinks the cost is too steep for the action-heavy film.

The recession has hit one of the biggest stars on the planet!

The lastest Washington-Scott action flicker, The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3, failed at the box-office and it has made the studio wary about giving the green-light to another pricey project.

Therefore, negotiations on the salaries of Washington, Scott, and fine Chris Pine, who is playing opposite Denzel, will have to be settled first before the appropriate budget for the physical production can be reached.

Tough economy means less movie magic, we're afraid. But if Denzel takes a pay cut from his usual fee of $20 million a flick, maybe there is a chance it will see the light of day.

Limp Bizkit Is Still Limp

wenn-durst-dick.jpg

Limp Bizkit and the UFC seem like a match made in heaven, right? And on July 10th the pair were to join in trash and consummate their love with their first performance in eight years at the Ultimate Fighting Championship 100 weekend in Las Vegas.

But Bizkit got a little too choosey, and after their label and the UFC could not come to an agreement over DVD rights, they went their separate ways.

The show has just been cancelled.

And good riddance!
