Though the couple never officially announced the pregnancy, Rebecca has been seen all over town proudly sporting her baby bump since September.

To be fair, parents should teach their children to cross ONLY at cros walks (as there was one near by in this case that the unaccompanied child didn't use), and drivers should NOT stop to let a jaywalker cross the street on a two laned street as the pedestrian is hidden from the other lane and has no idea why the other driver has stopped.
She did what most people would do - she used the open lane. There was no crosswalk, no stop sign or light, and no reason to believe that some idiot who thought he was doing a "good deed" was actually endangering a child's life.
The idiot who stopped to let that unaccompanied child cross the street illegally should be the one we are pointing fingers at, but apparently he wasn't famous enough.

To Christina Polo…The fact of the case is that she went around the MANY cars who were stopped IN FRONT of her because she was sick of waiting. She did plead guilty to vehicular manslaughter in the case and paid millions out in a settlement to the parents. And then sometime not too long after bitch had another horrible accident where she was also responsible and since then DOES NOT drive. Yes parents should teach their children not to run out into the street but they often do. THose of us who drive are the ones with the muder weapon, so ULTIMATELY, she was responsbile for the child's death. If she was under the influence that ho should have gotten the death penalty. She did not do what most people would do–she did what she did because she is a selfish bitch. I live near where this happened and she is lucky she was not stoned. Those parents have gone through hell because of her selfish actions that day. She's a known drug user with an immoral lifestyle and did not publicize her pregnancy because its inevitable she will be attacked. Perez may have forgotten about what she did but karma is always a bitch.

Hopefully, this means she is eating right and staying away from abuses.
Lets hope in the time since the infamous video was FILMED, they have cleaned up their act.

Re: Christina Polo – To be fair, that 'idiot' you referred to probably stopped rather than HIT the child…and some children run across anyway. Of course they SHOULD use the crosswalk, but they're kids. Their brains aren't fully formed yet. Adults have to watch out for them, and for the most part, adults do.
