Just when you think you're rid of them, some desperate producer thinks it's time to shove them back into the spotlight.
Though not as annoying or as douchtastic as her ex-husband Jon Gosselin, mother of eight Kate Gosselin is steadily getting on our last nerve.
We thought the reality gig was up when her TLC show got cancelled and her talk show booted her out. Now, we're hearing Kate is in talks to star in a new reality DATING show!
Wonderful! Just what those Gosselin kids really need - another fame crazed adult ruining their lives.
The show is still in the discussion stage and we're somewhat convinced she'll do it under the pretense of needing money and supporting her children.
But be advised Kate: any respect America might still have for you will be GONE if you go through with this! You'd be sinking to a new low!

It's only a matter of time before she tries to get the kids into "acting".
Let me get this straight. You just want her and Jon to disappear. Jon can get an $18/hr job, and Kate can go back to nursing. That would make you happy. However, I think you would be bright enough to figure out that regular everyday jobs are not going to pay their bills. So what is the option? Government assistance? Or maybe YOU could put your money where your mouth is and support them and then they can disappear. Sounds like a plan to me!!

For such a hard worker, Perez, you have an amazing disdain for people trying to find work to support their families. A good mom puts supporting her children before "dignity". There is no shame in working and she should be willing to talk to anyone interested in offering work - particularly as this doesn't put her children in front of a camera. I am not interested in watching her, but I respect her efforts. It is her job to do whatever it takes whether it is cleaning up vomit (nursing), or sacrificing her dignity.

I'm glad the show is finally over. I use to watch it, then got tired of Kate's tude, so I stopped. Then Jon showed his azz and made a complete fool of himself. I heard/saw her doing some type of cooking show. I don't think I'll watch that - I'll stick to the Food Network channel. As for a reality dating show…I might look at it once, but I swore I was giving up reality shows because they are soooo fake and scripted. Regardless, she does need to take care of her kids, so good luck to her!

There are mothers everywhere who are wondering how they are going to feed their children their next meal and you have this one and her husbnd fighting over who stole the millions out of the joint checking account. Why is she so special. EH, because TLC says so. Why not retire her and do a show about familes of soldiers. Or right here in New Oleans for example there are mothers of eight that could do a TLC program and not request new cameras, etc. from viewers but would just have their electricity turned back on and have a decent meal. I don't wish her any harm but please. Also, how many people in America have eight children or more and make it without a TV show. Give me a break it can be done. Re: ForeverWyld – um, your logic is way off here. they didn't have a television show when they first spawned eight kids together. if they couldn't afford to support eight children via traditional means (i.e., not polluting the public sphere with their pathetic lives) then they shouldn't have had all those kids in the first place. not every large family chooses to whore itself out to pay the bills.

Some of us fully support Kate. TV is the only way Kate can support her kids without having to move and put them in a tiny condo. She's the portrait of THOUSANDS of mothers out there. Married too young, married a loser, and is forced to raise them alone.

The thing is both Jon and Kate have become accustomed to living in a higher income bracket because of the money they made from the show. If Jon would get serious and try to find a real job that paid even modestly and Kate would get more training as a nurse, they could probably support the kids, but the standard of living would definitely go way down. They would have to make drastic changes in every way and neither one is willing to do that. Nurses are in demand and in some places, even those who recruit nurses successfully are given a bonus. There are some specialty nursing positions that pay very well, but I think Kate is more suited to teaching than actual patient care. She would probably be a good, but scary, Dean of a school of nursing if she put her mind to it. But none of that will happen, they are both too addicted to the money and attention. The thing is one day nobody is going to want to hire them for TV. Neither one is that interesting and it is really pathetic to see them scrambling to extend their 15 minutes of fame.

When you are a mother and the doctor says "you are going to have six kids, not 1" you do not go "ok, can we kill off 5 of them..uhm…I have 2 girls, so kill off the 3 girls and 2 boys". You TAKE RESPONSIBILITY and that is just what she did. Looking at those adorable children, could you as a person now go "hrm, she should have killed this one and that one and that one" or do you look at them and say "thank god she made the right choice"

Whatev. Kate's not a dummy. She is going to do what she needs to do provide for her family with the understanding that it is a one-income family. Not all dating shows have to be completely tacky. I don't know if this should be her first choice, but if it's the best opportunity, go for it.
