Avatar's continued earnings are proving the staying power of the 3D James Cameron flick!
And surprise, surprise! The numbers are HUGE.
By the weekend's close, Avatar's earnings are projected to be at $350.5 million in North American and $1.05 billion around the world!!
"Mr. Cameron was king of the world but now has dominion over the universe. And he will own the top two slots on the worldwide all-time box office list!" one overly-excited exec at Fox has reportedly said.

By far the Greatest movie I have ever seen my whole life. I have never seen a film like this ever. If you havent been to the theatre in years, this is one worth getting out of the couch for. I was blown away by the whole movie experience. James Cameron is a genius and a d*** head in real life from what I heard.

I didn't like the Titanic and this movie was no better (yes I'm in the minority). Avatar and it's political correctness crap was too much for me to stomach.

Ha…my dad, brother, and I were going to go see it yesterday morning at the IMAX. We couldn't…2 hours before the first showing, it was already sold out. In fact, it was sold out until the 10:45 PM showing.

I didnt see it in 3D, but some scenes would be pretty cool to see in 3D tho. What i couldnt understand why parents brought their small kids to the movie..I think they were 7 or something.. This isnt a kidsmovie???

Well, there are only two movies now, that have earned more money in film history! Titanic and The Return Of The king! So Avatar is the third biggest film all time! That what i can a HUGE SUCCESS!

While I wouldn't call this movie a flop by any stretch of the imagination, after having seen it this weekend the thing that catches the audience is the actual visual sensation and colors, not the plot. The plot is mediocre at best, possibly a B- tops. If it weren't for the 3D, it would have been a miserable 3 hours spent.
…the visuals are not meant to "come out at you." it's a depth-perception 3D. i think that's why some didn't think the 3D was what it was hyped up to be, cuz they were looking for a different experience. it's a beautiful film to look at — a gorgeous travelogue of pandora. the story has been done a million times, and the script isn't going to win anyone an oscar, but the visuals are well-worth the dough. like i said, this will be the highest grossing film in history, edging out the last one he produced. undoubtedly, cameron is the box-office king, and a credit to all proud canadians…

dude this movie was freaking epic!! 3d imax and all… i had low expectations for a cgi and reality movie with a plot that seemed obvious from the trailers, but i was really taken aback that it was more amazing then i thought… packed audience that laughed, cried, and cheered together!

This movie is SO amazing. The best next to the Lord of the Rings trilogy (but thats only in my opinion)
Avatar is INCREDIBLE! So glad this movie is doing as well as it is. It has joined Titanic as my top favorites of all time. James Cameron must really be a magic man. The word of mouth with Avatar is getting it where it is now and will continue to grow. Such amazing work.
