Emilio Estefan Opens Up

Congrats are in order for Emilio Estefan.

The Grammy Award-winning producer has just published his first book, which hits stores today.

Estefan's story, THE RHYTHM OF SUCCESS: How an Immigrant Produced His Own American Dream, chronicles his life as a young boy leaving Cuba, arriving in the US broke and with nothing but a dream.

He talks about meeting a then-shy Gloria, whom he later married and details his struggle to prove that Latin music had a mass appeal.

He goes on to mention his involvement in helping bring to the mainstream a new set of Latin singers such as hotties Ricky Martin and Shakira.

Estefan's not only a producer, but also a songwriter, business owner, artist manager, and investor.

We can't wait to read the book!

      Tow words - "GRAVY TRAIN"
      .
This talentless jerk has accomplished NOTHING that was not made possible without the "fame" such as it is" made possible by the singing career of his slightly-talented singing wife.
      .
The Esti-scams are the type of couple that Corporate America loves and embraces - safe types that never rock the boat. So-called "pleasant ethnics" who can be counted on to pitch corporate crap to Cuban-American consumers.
      .
So Perez - you fancy yourself as a music promoter - why not promote some emerging, edgy, Cuban-American acts - instead of these artistically-empty. sell-out ETHNICS FOR RENT who will shill for whatever corporate entity will throw money at them???

This guy must be a genius considering Gloria can`t sing a note. Seriously, has anyone ever heard this woman sing? She doesn`t, she talks the lyrics.

Reminds me of the great Puerto Rican American politician HERMAN BADILLO. I love it when successful Latino men share their stories of hard work and achievement in the face of adversity. Way to go!

Mario, get your nose out of the Estefans' butt…. they don't want anything to do with you. You are all Cuban, and so is half of Miami. They have no ties with you other than race.

Not a surprising endorsement considering it is published by the same latino publisher that put out your discount bin wonder. He really is an American success story.
