Fox's Brit Hume Believes Tiger Needs Christianity!
He needs more than that!
Fox's so-called journalist Brit Hume is an effing idiot! And he proved that on Fox News Sunday when he suggested that Tiger Woods convert to Christianity because Buddhism does not offer the "redemption" necessary for the disgraced golfer.
"Whether he can recover as a person I think is a very open question, and it's a tragic situation with him," said Hume. "The extent to which he can recover seems to me depends on his faith. He is said to be a Buddhist. I don't think that faith offers the kind of forgiveness and redemption that is offered by the Christian faith."
It takes a lot to piss off the Buddhists, so congrats on that!
Hume said his message would be, "Tiger, turn to the Christian faith and you can make a total recovery and be a great example to the world.'"

In Christianity, you ask God's forgiveness, and you go to heaven. In Buddhism, you mess up and you're screwed for several lives and must redeem yourself. I would say Buddhism punishes him more severely.

He was simply stating that Christianity is oriented around the belief in forgiveness to a much higher degree than Bhuddism, which is something that could help Tiger through this situation.

As for his son's suicide… if you would do a moment of research, you would see that Britt said he was not a Christian until his son died. His son's death brought a lot of things to light and it was at that time that he said his faith became a meaningful thing. You guys are all judging this man's heart. It seems his comments were simply said in a way that he sincerely intended to help Mr. Woods. You do not have to agree with his answers, but you also do nt have to attack him for trying to help someone.
And for all of the attacks on Christianity…you should all refrain from judging any philosophy by its abuse. A lot of people have done many sickening things in the name of Christ, yet did not follow any of the things he taught. Anyone can say they;re anything. Most people in this country that claim to be Christian are simply Christian by tradition and not real followers.
I am always amazed how many people complain about Christians being judgmental when the opposers are often the ones erroneously broadbrushing people that call themselves Christians. THAT is being judgmental. I realize there aren't many Mother Theresa's but Christianity is what motivated her to devote her life to serving the people.
