It has just been announced that Lady GaGa's latest single, Bad Romance has hit the #1 spot on Billboard's pop songs!

In case you lost count, this makes it her FIFTH consecutive song to reach the top of the charts.

      I actually didn't see this coming as I thought it had peaked at number 2.
      As to your comment about not being able to wait for her next single to reach #1, telephone may not be that single. The new remix seems like a vain attempt to get it on The Dance/Club charts for a probable #1.
      On the Hot 100 it peaked at 30 and has fallen to 37-38. It is nowhere to be seen in the top 20 of the Pop chart (I only have access to the top 20) where she has been so successful. The song is no place to be found on the top 40 Radio Songs and has fallen down to 39 on the Digital Songs chart.
      But Gaga has shown a single can have legs of over 20 weeks before it reaches the top of the charts.

      Re: CandyEyes – You are right, but Billboard announces the chart positions of note on Tuesday and then updates their charts on Thursday. So on Thursday the chart will reflect Gaga's #1 position for the week of ending Jan 18th (I know it seems like a weird system).
      Although it pains me to say this Team Pyrex was correct.
