If it ever gets off the ground!

Sam Mendes is in negotiations to direct the 23rd installment of the James Bond franchise. Despite the possible sale of MGM, production could begin as early as June to achieve a 2011 release date.

We wonder how they'll be able to afford him!

      As his first action film it should be interesting to see what he does with it, especially since it is the franchise of all franchises. He reportedly has 5 different projects "in development".
      Perhaps Kate as a bond girl/villain ?

      Hate to break it you, PH. Every blogger got this wrong. Sam Mendes is NOT directing the new Bond…yet. MGM doesn't have the means to commit financially to this project yet and it has been put on hold. Daniel Craig wants Mendes, so the Bond producers are in talks to engage Mendes as a consultant to the project for now. There is also no script yet.
