Though she won't be making her American Idol debut until February, the first promo pics featuring the new Idol Judge, Ellen DeGeneres were released today.

Don't they look…spotless?

Seriously, someone went a little overboard with the airbrushing! They all look awful!

We're know they're old! No need to try to hide it!

      All publicity images have been retouched since the beginning of photography. Airbrushing is nothing new. Not saying this is good work, but nothing shocking.

      The first Ellen episode of AI will have massive ratings due to the curiosity factor. It will be interesting to see where it goes from there.

      Everyone looks pretty normal to me. The pictures are rather small so I really can't tell that they are overly airbrushed.

      I think they pretty much look the way they do always…Ellen does look a bit touched up, but they aren't going to use a raw photograph for publicity. You of all people should know.

      Ellen is actually pretty and looks GREAT for her age, or any age, but that picture is awful!! Kara & Ryan are in their 30s aren't they?? That is not old, and aren't you in your 30s, Perez?? None of them are old and none of them look old!! They made Ellen look bad with all the airbrushing but everyone else looks good!!

      Was she even there at the photo shoot? It seriously looks like they 'placed' her image between Randy & Simon. You would think Fox would invest a little more of their money into their promo pics. Considering the fact that if they don't bring in the numbers this year, this will be their last. Or maybe it's just that. They know this is their last year so why bother with the smoke & mirrors?!

      What's with your Photoshop obsession? I don't get it. You love to throw the term around at least once a week.
      Photoshop and airbrushing are two totally different techniques of photo manipulation and retouching. Photoshop is totally digital and computerized. Airbrushing is a manual paint and forced air technique — like spraypaint.
