Oh no!

The National Inquirer is reporting that things look grim for actor Dennis Hopper, who last September was diagnosed with prostate cancer. According to the mag, Dennis has finished filming for his TV show, Crash, and he is now telling friends and loved ones he is ready to die!

The source also explains that the cancer has spread to his bones and that doctors are "no longer able to contain the disease, and his condition had severely worsened."

Very sad!

Hang in there, Dennis. We're pulling for you.

That's too bad. I hope, for his sake, that he goes quickly now that he's ready.

  3. 3

aww, i wish the best for dennis hopper.

  4. 4

The N.I. should respect Mr. Hopper's privacy.
    Medical matters should be off-limits.
    Good luck, Mr. Hopper.

When cancer has metastasized like that it can often be a difficult sign. Keep up the good fight Dennis.

  8. 8

    No !! No !!! NO !!!!

  9. 9

and the National 'INQUIRER' is always right? (who is writing tonight that they cannot spell enquirer? One of Mario's favorite ripoff sites?). Prostate Cancer is normally one of the more slow growing cancers, so who knows what is going on and whether it is true or not.

  10. 10

I hope this isn't true wish him the best and a speedy recovery.

  11. 11

    Very sad if it's true.

  12. 12

again NI is not a source. everytime someones sick there automatically on deaths door. NI doesnt know shit.

  13. 13

God bless him. My father had prostate cancer for 13 years. For the last 5 years it was in his bones. He was very lucky in that he didn't have much pain for the first 13 years but the last 6 weeks of his life were excruciating. I worked in hospitals for 8 years & I'd never seen someone in so much pain, and my dad was extremely stoic. My heart goes out to Mr. Hopper. I hope that his pain levels to be low & for him to heal. Cancer is insidious. I pray for a cure.

  14. 14

    Say it isn't so. Damn

  15. 15

And if he does pass away and you say something nasty about him Perez I will flip right out.

  16. 16

The Nation Enquirer is always predicting celebrities' deaths. And are you seriously just stealing information from the tabloids? Thought you were supposed to be breaking all these awesome stories first…

  17. 17

This is really sad. I like him a lot.

  18. 18

Perez. You use the National Enquirer (p.s…if you're going to use "sources", spell them right…E, not I, moron) and Star Magazine as your sources…that says quite a bit about you and your integrity.
I hope for Dennis' sake it isn't true-so sad.

  19. 19

If this is true it is very sad. My dad died of prostate cancer after it had spread to the bones. Once cancer gets into the bones it is very, very painful. If this is true about Dennis Hopper, hopefully he will go quickly so he doesn't have to be in pain for long.

Like my brother says; It`s not hard to notice how all these Hollywood stars die of cancer if they don`t OD. It`s because of the drugs and booze. If you do it, you may not pay now, but you`ll sure as hell pay later when you get old. Its all based on damage. Think of a Xerox machine amd human cells…You damage the machine, the copies it makes will not be noticeable the first few 100 copies, but down the line it adds up. Damage = weakness and when you need that strength when you are older it will not be there. It`s so true, I mean I know tons of people in my neighborhood and family that are in their 80`s and 90`s but you rarely hear of anyone living that long in Hollywood.

  21. 21

mario you fat fucking loser, can't you break any story ?all you do is go to other sites and copy the latest story.you suck cock, you wish!

  22. 22

mario, you are nothing but a ripp off from other sites . you are nothing but a fat fucking loser

  23. 23

omg my grandma can rip off the national enquirer.. thanks for nothing

  24. 24

I hope you aren't jumping the gun again on this.

  25. 25

The headline for this story reflects Perez's true sincerity.

  26. 26

Oh my God! It seems Dennis Hopper has decided to inform "friends and family". That must mean he wants the entire world to know the grim details. Broadcast this information far and wide, post haste!

  27. 27

"Denise at Death's Door" ….yea, I'm sure reading posts like that will really boost his sense of hope and spirit…WHAT R U THINKING, be a lil more sensitive, poor man.

That's how my daddy died. It was horrible. I will always miss him.

  31. 31

U are so fucking ridiculous! You are 'pulling for him'? That's what you come up with? And you use national inquirer as your main source now? You are snlking lower every day! Looser

  32. 32

Stay strong Easy Rider! All my prayers to you and your family.

  33. 33

  36. 36

Oh no! Dennis Hopper is the best!!

  37. 37

Do you have an endorsement deal with the National Inquirer or something? Dont you knwo they print nothing but lies? Are you truly that gullible? They are the least reliable service out there!

  38. 38

Nooooooo! Loved him in Apocalypse Now. I will say prayers for him…

Oh I always liked him even in his crazy movie parts … I wish the best for you!

    43

why would he "hang in there" if he's ready to die? wouldn't he be better dead than suffering with cancer that's eating you alive? i know this sounds harsh but come on if you have set your peace with everybody and have done everything u would've wanted would you want to die or stay alive even though you will be suffering and there's no pain killer that can help you? think about it

  44. 44

Hope it isn't true, Dennis Hopper is one of the Great ones!

  45. 45

this is very serious…and it must be true because my grandfather had prostate cancer and it eventually spread to his bones…i really hope and pray that this person doesn't have to suffer as much as my poppy did and that he goes peacefully

  46. 46

Death is very sad but a part of life. Especially among seniors!

  47. 47

Oh no, keep fighting Dennis. There are too few good actors out there.

  48. 48

So sad hes a great actor!!

  49. 49

Re: Naomid – That's not a fair thing to say. My father was never a drinker and never did drugs, hell - he didn't even lie, and he died an excruciating death from prostate cancer. Illness is not a punishment for being bad. Yes, it is good to exercise and eat healthy but we cannot assume that one has lead a "bad" or "unhealthy" life because they have an illness.

  50. 50

Sad news. — Also just noticed an uncanny resemblance to Owen Wilson.

  51. 51

Yikes! Hang in there, Dennis! Don't let 'em kill you off early like they did Patrick Swayze.

  52. 52

…how lovely of you Perez…. first you stick him under your tactful category of 'old people' …and then you entitle him 'At Death's Door'??? I'm sure that makes it SO much easier for his family to deal with the impending death of their loved one. Karma will catch up with you one day asshole.
….with a bit of luck, you too will be treated with such disrespect Perez.

  53. 53

….Perez, maybe you should take an afternoon off from your pathetic, pain inflicting blog and go spend your day at a hospice…. just so you can see what it really means to die of cancer. You are truly disgusting.

  54. 54

Why would you want him to "hang in there" and suffer? Once the cancer is at this point, it's just a matter of time, and he is most likely suffering a great deal. Sad.

  55. 55

Sadly, this is true. Check out newyorksocialdiary.com for confirmation and an insight into how his last days are playing out.

  56. 56

Man I'm so sick of all this celebrities dying.. It's so depressing.. Overwelming
