Getting Trashed For The USA!

Filed under: Wacky, Tacky & True

We had no clue being in the military included getting completely shitfaced on Crown Royal for "research"!

The Pentagon Channel Report posted a video of U.S military soldiers getting sloshed to help their fellow comrades spot the key signs of drunkeness.

Did they really need to perform numerous tests to be able to spot a drunk dude????

Check out the HIGHlarious vid above!

thats cool - the airforce and army up in Alaska are extremely serious about drunk driving. Its a big issue in AK.

At the military bases they would have a sign as you leave that shows the number of DUIs that month/year and which unit the last guy caught was from in order to embarass the unit.

Whats funny is that the airforce base is like 3 times bigger than the army one but the army sign had 3x's more DUIs…

      Our tax dollars at work…

You would think they would use US Navy for the study but I guess they didn't have enough alcohol available to get just one sailor drunk.

    10. 10

these guys are the "chAIR" force, and they are not soldiers.

    11. 11

these guys are the air force, and its an insult to refer to them as soldiers, the armys wayyyyy more advanced then these idiots

    12. 12

I live on Benning, I'll volunteer!

    13. 13

Oh ligerunclerico! If you think the Army is so much better, then why do you guys have all the shitty housing? You're seriously trying to say you guys are more advanced?? Teehee! You're funny! Everyone knows you're full of crap ;-)

I was one of the lucky ones to be a "drunk". They will get a handful of people and each one gets to drink different amounts of their preferred liquor. We sit in a room, eat, drink, and play cards for about an hour then the cops come in and start doing the tests on us to see if they can recognize who is really drunk. I much prefer this test over getting tased or maced. :-)

    15. 15

seriously guys….why bash the military? both the army and air force defend our country. that test would be great to participate in!

    16. 16

As a veteran of the Air Force, we proudly go above and beyond the call of duty, LOL!! In all fairness, they are stationed in Alaska……. Many years ago, Dover Air Force Base used to make troops caught drunk driving stand on the corner at the busiest intersection of the base during the day with a huge sign that said "I drove drunk" It was part of their punishment. Go Air Force!

Re: ligerunclerico – Why do you have to knock a fellow service branch? Aren't we all out to do a job? I do know that there are a lot fo "chair jobs" in the Air Force (Army, Navy, Marines and Coast Guard as well) but who do you think loads all that cargo on those big ass C-5's? Who do you think repairs those big birds? Uh, yeah, the Air Force. Hell, most nights the only time I sat down was in the "bread" truck on the way to the next freaking cargo plane….. Oh, and I worked with a lot of Army and Marines so I know how different each of us can be. We all are loyal to our branch but a healthy dose of respect for each other is deserved. Army more advance? Each branch is extremely advanced in their own area. Oh and believe me, the Air Force do not like being referred to as soldiers as well. Show some respect to your fellow troops, you never know, those Air Force people you so hate, might be the ones who loaded and shipped the armored humvee you're riding in. That same Air Force is the one who makes sure you get your weapons and ammo shipped to you as well………. Thank you to ALL the troops, no matter what your branch is.

theres nothing funny about drunk driving.

    19. 19

good to see your tax dollars are being spent on a bottle of crown royal!

      Re: heidi3thumbs – Well said!

    21. 21

only in the states… and seriously you can fucking READ UP on the "key signs" of drunkness … stupid fucking americans

    22. 22

      Re: heidi3thumbs

      very well said!

My husband is air force. My family is maid up of many different members of each branch of service and they've all served their country regardless of their job.
My husband is a jet engine mechanic. His job is just as important as a mechanic in the army working on a tank.

and yes, perez, those are Airman, not Soldiers

    23. 23

Heidie3thumbs you said it better than I can. My husband is a veteran from the Air Force in Vietnam. Our son is in the Army and has served in Iraq. All branches of the Military should be honored for their service. Yes, they all have their expertise in what they do. That is why we have the Marines, Air Force, Navy, Army and all of the attatched special units.

Re: dreamygrl – If you look at the "sober" guy in the video, you'll notice he only has two stripes on his arm. This means that he is an Airman First Class, which means he is probably 18 or 19 years old. He is being trained as a military police officer and he needs to be taught how to give a field sobriety test. He is also being trained on how to tell the difference between a person who is clumsy during the test and a impaired person. So yeah, Americans do need to be taught how to recognize someone who is drunk. Civilian police officers get the same training, maybe not the same way but more likely in sobriety check points.

Re: BeNiceYall – Yeah, I came to Fairbanks for college originally and met my husband here. I'm hurting in the winters, it sucks.
