Lord of the Rings Senior Citizen Star Rocks Out!

Lord of the Rings star Sir Christopher Lee is transforming into a heavy metal god!

The 87-year-old actor's vocals are featured on a "symphonic metal concept album" about the Roman Emperor King Charlemange called Charlemagne: By The Sword And The Cross.

Love it!

"It's fascinating for me that, at this stage in my life, people are beginning to look upon me as a metal singer. When this comes out as a complete album, it's going to be sensational," said Lee.

Brazilliant!

The album, produced by Italian composer Marco Sabiu, is due to hit store shelves on March 15th.

Thoughts????

Unless he's actually *singing*, this isn't is first venture into metal music. He's featured narrating on Rhapsody of Fire's album "Symphony of Enchanted Lands II: The Dark Secret", which coincidently is symphonic metal music.

      ….wtf? thats so random.

even though rhapsody isn't really my cup of tea when it comes to metal (don't get me wrong, metal is the best, but powermetal is a joke when it comes to anything but solos), but christopher lee's vocals and narration make listening to them all worth it

Charlemagne or "charlemange" as you call him is a french king, you can't spell we're not gonna ask you to research for your posts

Charlemagne was a Frank, nothing Roman about him. He was Emperor of the Franks, crowned by the pope in Rome, but NOT A ROMAN EMPEROR. And Christopher Lee is "Iconic fifties and sixties horror movie star" not ""lord of the rings star." Boy are you fucking ignorant. Why don't you just retire?

I'm all for pointing out when Perez is wrong, but Charlemagne was an emperor of the Holy Roman Empire (as well as the Franks), and was accustomed to calling himself a roman emperor.

Hey if Vincent Price who was just about the age when he rapped for Michael Jackson Thriller who knows it may be good. And he did a cameo at the end of the video.

Sir Christoper Lee is awesome. I really liked his work on those Hammer horror films.

I love Christopher Lee! The first time I heard his voice was watching The Last Unicorn as a kid, it's very deep and impressive. There's a reason he plays scary, evil characters in movies! ^-^

This man is freaking amazing! Google him…he has been in so many movies over his career and it is said that he has six degrees of separation to everyone who is influential in the entertainment world. I love him!

Re: dnredsox – Charlemagne may have thought he was a Roman emperor in the vein of Nero and Caligula, but nowadays we recognize the difference in these two empires. It would be more appropriate — and much clearer — to refer to him as a HOLY Roman emperor or ruler of the Holy Roman Empire.
