Balloon Boy's Dad Still Denies Hoax!
He may be going to jail, but he's not going quietly!
In an new interview airing Friday Richard Heene, the whackadoo father to Balloon Boy, denies that the whole thing was a hoax!
O RLY?
Heene told Larry King "We had searched the house, high and low. I knew he was in the craft. … In my mind there was no other place" all while holding back tears!
Is this guy a great actor or what?
So if he's denying it was a hoax, then why did he plead guilty?
Because he had to or else his wife, Mayumi who by the way admitted the whole thing was a hoax, would get deported back to Japan.
They should have deported the dad!
As part of his punishment Richard will spend 90 days in jail. Once he's released he and his wife will do a switcheroo, and she'll serve only 20 days in the slammer.
On top of jail time, both got 4 years of probation where they will not be allowed to profit off the incident.
Heene says his interview with the CNN host doesn't violate his probation as he was simply clearing his name.
Riiiight.
He also clears up why Falcon said "we did this for the show", explaining "he said, a Japanese cameraman from some – holding a giant camera, asked him to show him how he got into the attic for his TV show. That's why Falcon answered that."
We're beginning to think he believes his own lies.
Larimer County Sheriff Jim Alderden also spoke to Larry King saying "Quite honestly, I'm shocked that he would make such statements. The evidence against Mr. Heene and Mayumi at this point is really overwhelming. There's no doubt in my mind that this thing was a hoax."
