A charitable group of actors, musicians and activists, including Emile Hirsch and Jessica Biel started their uphill trek to the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro today. The expedition is to raise awareness and funds for the global water crisis.
Supporters can follow every step they take on the cause's website and we'll be checking in periodically to see how long it takes one of these celebrities to crack under the pressure.
It just might a very long 19,340 feet journey!

This is such an amazing cause! You can check out more about this on www.summitonthesummit.com where you can follow the climb, watch videos of all the celebs, and donate. I'm always impressed when celebrities use their status to bring awareness to others in need, like those fighting the clean water crisis around the world. Good for them!

I have climbed that mountain and let me tell you, it's not easy…yes you are hiking, but that doesn't make dealing with the the thin air and the 7 hours of daily hiking, or the freezing cold any easier!
and raising awareness in turn is meant to raise more money than she could have donated on her own, so go jessica go for using your status to do something good for other people instead of sitting on your ass in a starbucks complaining about how it's such a hard life to be famous
