While she is nowhere near the level of intoxication she was on Monday night, she did have a difficult time making any kind of coherent sense last night at The People's Choice Awards, where she won for best R&B artist.

I am sorry but I think it was lovely to see her husband assist her more because of her dress than anything to my eyes. Not since the 90s have I ever though she was going to win any public speaking awards nor do I think she participated on her high school debate team.
She did a fine spontaneous speech (no notes like so many) and I think she was frankly surprised.
There seems to be a bit of an anti Beyonce ('Videophone anyone") and anti Swift undercurrent and although this is awarded by the fans it could creep into Grammy voting and help Gaga possibly?
To accuse her of being drunk based on that appearance and to use terms like drunken glory is just wrong.

I would like to see more husbands and wives, of award winners, accompany their spouses to the podium if for nothing else to show that true success is often a team effort that often starts with marriage. It would be the winners choice to have the spouse accompany them and they would not be able to speak.
I just think it would send out a nice message about marriage (when it succeeds ) being a true partnership and maybe make for some touching moments on the stage.

With Mariah Carey's crowning of the decade-end Hot 100 songs list with "We Belong Together," she now owns the most popular songs of the '90s and the '00s, as her duet with Boyz II Men, "One Sweet Day," was No. 1 on the '90s-end recap.
"We Belong Together" spent 14 weeks at No. 1 on the Hot 100 chart during the decade, tying the Black Eyed Peas' "I Gotta Feeling" for the most weeks atop the list in that span. The Peas' anthem is at No. 5 on the decade-end Hot 100 Songs retrospective, one step below the duo/group of the decade, Nickelback, with "How You Remind Me."
Collectively, the top nine finishers on the Hot 100 Songs recap spent 90 cumulative weeks at No. 1, thanks in part to the one-two punch of "Together" and "Feeling."
Mariah to Release Two Memoirs "Remix" Albums
MariahDailyJournal is able to confirm that Mariah will be releasing two separate Remix albums for Memoirs of An Imperfect Angel early next year.
In addition to the main Remix album which will comprise of R&B/Hip-Hop/Pop remixes, the other will be a Dance album which will all be Jump Smokers remixes of tracks from Memoirs of An Imperfect Angel.
Mariah's Remix Album Drops Feb. 23!
Mariah's new, as yet-untitled Remix album is set for release on Tuesday, February 23, 2010.
We have previously confirmed collaborations with Ne-Yo ("Angels Cry" Remix) and Nicki Minaj ("Up Out My Face" Remix), and now, we can also reveal that other artists such as Mary J. Blige, Snoop Dogg, T-Pain, R. Kelly, K-Ci & JoJo, Big Boi, Trey Songz and Fabolous will all be featured in the new Remix album.
We are told by label insiders that this album will be treated like a brand new project including promotional appearances. Mariah is scheduled to film her appearance on VH1 Storytellers in early January and the album's title and final track listing are expected to be announced next week.
