Mimi WAS Drinking Before Accepting Her Award!
Mariah Carey might be a diva, but at least she's an honest one.
Unlike other celebs who have given slurred speeches and then denied being drunk or high, Mimi was upfront about it.
In case you forgot, Miz Carey's acceptance speech on Tuesday night for breakthrough actress at the Palm Springs International Film Festival was less than normal. We'd call it uncomfortably awkward.
Mimi went rambling on and on and seemed visibly out of it. Check out her clip HERE. But now she explains what was really going on.
According to Mariah, she was drunk buzzed on the bubbly when she took the stage to accept her award, having had "splashes of champagne" just before.
Says Mimi, "We'd been sitting there, celebrating this whole time and having little splashes, and I hadn't eaten."
She continues, "If people don't understand me and they just think I'm this girl that stands by a microphone and sings Hero then they're definitely not gonna get me. But if people knew me they'd understand and have a sense of humor. And basically that's what gets me through life."
We still love ya Mimi. But remember, bubbly's OK, just in moderation.

With Mariah Carey's crowning of the decade-end Hot 100 songs list with "We Belong Together," she now owns the most popular songs of the '90s and the '00s, as her duet with Boyz II Men, "One Sweet Day," was No. 1 on the '90s-end recap.
"We Belong Together" spent 14 weeks at No. 1 on the Hot 100 chart during the decade, tying the Black Eyed Peas' "I Gotta Feeling" for the most weeks atop the list in that span. The Peas' anthem is at No. 5 on the decade-end Hot 100 Songs retrospective, one step below the duo/group of the decade, Nickelback, with "How You Remind Me."
Collectively, the top nine finishers on the Hot 100 Songs recap spent 90 cumulative weeks at No. 1, thanks in part to the one-two punch of "Together" and "Feeling."

Mariah to Release Two Memoirs "Remix" Albums
MariahDailyJournal is able to confirm that Mariah will be releasing two separate Remix albums for Memoirs of An Imperfect Angel early next year.
In addition to the main Remix album which will comprise of R&B/Hip-Hop/Pop remixes, the other will be a Dance album which will all be Jump Smokers remixes of tracks from Memoirs of An Imperfect Angel.
Mariah's Remix Album Drops Feb. 23!
Mariah's new, as yet-untitled Remix album is set for release on Tuesday, February 23, 2010.
We have previously confirmed collaborations with Ne-Yo ("Angels Cry" Remix) and Nicki Minaj ("Up Out My Face" Remix), and now, we can also reveal that other artists such as Mary J. Blige, Snoop Dogg, T-Pain, R. Kelly, K-Ci & JoJo, Big Boi, Trey Songz and Fabolous will all be featured in the new Remix album.
We are told by label insiders that this album will be treated like a brand new project including promotional appearances. Mariah is scheduled to film her appearance on VH1 Storytellers in early January and the album's title and final track listing are expected to be announced next week.
