Don't you just love it when teen sitcoms up the corny factor for an episode or two!
Take a look, vampire lovers, because The CW hit, Vampire Diaries, is starting to do just that.
The show returns from hiatus on January 21st and that following week, tune in to see the whole bloodthirsty gang get together at a 50s-themed dance.
Check out the pic of the gang and their get-ups above! We think the boys might have forgotten their blue suede shoes, but the girls seem in the spirit.

Vampire Diaries is a hit on CW, a network with no hits. Calling it a hit for where it stands in the overall ratings is just bull shit. But you friend Kevin Williamson is producer so this must be the truth.
Ian Somerhalder is possibly the most gorgeous (living?) thing in the entire universe.

I think this show is a gross misinterpretation of LJ Smith's novels, and for that reason… I think this sock-hop thing is really, really dumb. Can't wait till this show is cancelled.

I love the show and the books and I know any episode they'll do in the future will be amazing like the rest of the previous ones.
hey asshole, it's not a sitcom, and despite the lead female's subpar acting, a very good show. too bad they won't kill off bonnie, she was cool in the books but annoying on the show. two weeks is two long.

I tried so hard to watch this show, and made it two episodes. Why is it even called Vampire Diaries? It has nothing to do with the books AT ALL. What's the only similarity, they're names? [sighs] If I didn't read the books, I probably would've liked it much better.
This show is great. I cant imagine what they are doing with a 50's theme, but Im sure the show will be amazing. I cant wait for the show to start again… I need a vampire fix.
I love this show. It's dark. The acting isn't the best but what do you expect? Iam Somerhalder is great I've loved him since Lost. And I have a big crush on Paul Wesley! Can't wait for the show to return.
I do think it's funny there are like crew members in the back of the shot. Not good for a promo pic.

Re: xSelma – I had that with new moon… twilight (the movie) seemed great but then I read the books, then I watched new moon and I thought 'WOW this SUCKS compared to the books, why did they change everything??'
