wow i would've thought it was worse. Most people know how to get music for free now, so why buy it? I only bought albums from people I wanted to support last year!

That's coz there are no jobs, no money for music. We buy only our favorites, GaGa, Glambert, M/M.

because there is hardly any good music out there, its more and more of the same shit we have always had to choose from. gaga is fresh and creative, totally inspiring, and im not even into that kind of music. everything else is lame. even the perez pick stuff, it all kind of lacking. music is horrible these days. rely on the classics.

It's because most of the "popular" music sounds exactly the same and because it's absolute crap, like whore gaga.

Just like the movie industry, everything is just a copy of something that came before and was better.

      WHATS a album????

because most music that's out now really sucks ass.
if these so-called ARTISTS would make some ART, maybe someone would buy it.
      -
and the economy also sucks ass, so why line the pockets of the already rich music artists?

    7. 7

Music sales are up 2.1 percent. Just people aren't buying full albums.
This is good for music. Now that people can pick tracks individually artists that fill their albums with filler are missing out.

With the junk that's been coming out lately, i'm realy not surprised.

I think I bought two albums last year. Ten years ago I used to buy two a week. THAT'S SAD. Seriously - let's get rid of 'American Idol', 'X-Factor' and all that Simon produced SHIT karaoke wannabees and let's get rid of 'Rock Band' type video games that don't even teach kids how to PLAY instruments.

The industry sure made a mistake when they decided the horse was still better transportation than the automobile. It's taken years to catch up from the folly of their arrogance.
