The Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show welcomes a new host this year:
A.C. Slater Mario Lopez!
Mario says that he is "excited" to be apart of the show, which will take place on Feb. 15 and 16 in NYC, and that he is already starting to do research on the world's top pooches.
Eh, it might be fun, Mario.
Not as fun as a Saved By The Bell Reunion Show, but fun none the less.

I Love the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show! This is a big deal, and as a dog owner you should know that.

I think it's so cool he's still out there hustling up work. He's a go-getter for sure. And don't knock a dog show gig. Americans are freakin nuts for dogs, so that's a great gig.

He's been playing out this "Mario's Great Puppy Hunt" for all it's worth… for months now… on Extra, and I had sincere hopes he would eventually do the right thing and adopt a shelter dog..

Now he's going to be promoting purebred dogs… to immoral fools who think it's a good thing to breed and profit from the lives of companion animals, while millions of homeless animals die…

While MILLIONS of healthy, beautiful, perfect dogs languish in shelters, and are euphemistically "put to sleep" every year…

If anyone wants a "purebreed" dog they should get themself a wolf. The Kennel Club breed rules are all based on some strange mythology of its own creation.

The AKC that runs this dog show makes most of its money REGISTERING PUPPY MILL DOGS. They support puppy mill abuse.
These dog shows are just ads for buying puppy mill dogs.

REPUTABLE RESPONSIBLE breeders of PUREBRED DOGS are not the dogs you see in the shelters, because they take care of their own, that they breed and sell, with a gaurantee they always and for any reason take back a puppy who doesn't work out in it's new home (And if you think responsible breeders make money on their breedings you are sadly mistaken!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
And if you have ever bothered to watch Westminster by the way, you'd realize how much they support rescuing shelter dogs and breed rescues! They do alot for educating the general public about dogs in general!

Why don't you uneducated people watch the WKC dog show this year and find out what it is all about, and the good work they do to support all dogs, purebred or not.
