If only!

Unfortunately, Roman Polanski stays happily held captive in his Swiss Chalet for awhile longer. However, his latest movie is free to be released into the USA.

It was announced today that Polanski's flick The Ghost Writer, starring Ewan McGregor and Kim Cattrall, will hit theaters on Feb. 19.

Hey, Roman! Why not swing on over to El Lay for the premiere? And while you are here, you could finally stand trial for being a pedophile!

Sounds good to us!

    DISGUSTING ASSHOLE….

  2. 2

it's about time they shipped his bony old eurotrash ass here to answer for drugging and raping a child. put him away for good. he's a filthy pedophile who should never see the light of day again.

  3. 3

Oh shut the hell up, Mario. You're bigger trash than Roman is.

  4. 4

He is not held captive! He is detained!!! and stop ranting against Switzerland!

  5. 5

Don't condemn him unless you know the full story. You are only passing judgement at face value.

  6. 6

It's real crazy how hollywood seems to support this creep such as Whoopi who defends him on the view. If that were a normal Joe blow it would be different.

  7. 7

You're a paedophile too for constantly eye-fucking the shit out of Taylor Lautner.

    You piece of shit Perez

  8. 8

His films are genius. And hey, isn't Woody Allen revered by Hollywood. What is *he* if not a perv. Not in the same way, but still pondscum.

  9. 9

Why the fuck do you insist on saying "El Lay?" Makes you come across as an idiot.

Without even considering his crimes, I have always found him to be an overrated director. Sure Chinatown is legendary but his last commercial and critical success was The Pianist eight years ago.
This film is a political thriller and those have not been doing so well lately commercially. Don't expect much. I certainly hope the news stories about his (hopeful) extradition to the US does not artificially increase interest and profits.

He already was tried, Perez. He already served time when he was first sentenced but was released early. The victim in the case has asked the LA District Attorney not to pursue Polanski any further due to the emotional distress the situation has caused her. Yes, he was was found guilty of a crime, but the justice system (specifically Judge Rittenband) failed both the victim and Polanski. In my opinion L.A. should not pursue this.

  12. 12

You're calling someone a pedophile? you fucking freak

  13. 13

Yeah Woody Allen is just as bad…he not only started an underage sexual relationship with his step daughter who he went on to marry, but also sexually abused his adopted daughter Dylan when she was like 9…so he is just as bad.

  14. 14

Perez you're not just a moron, you're an ignorant moron. Polanski already did stand trial and was convicted. He even spent time in Jail and in a mental hospital. That was supposed to count as his jail time He skipped out on the final sentencing because he was told the judge was going to reneg on the sentance they had already agreed on. Something that probably wouldn't have happened if he wasn't a celebrity. The so called "vicitm" a girl who was already experienced with both sex and drugs, and had been delivered to him by her mother, has asked the LA prosecuters to leave him alone & drop the charges (which are for fleeing not pedophilia)

Re: SwissLady – What do you expect from Pervez? If he could get his hands on an underage boy he would HAVE to get him drunk and drug him in order to have sex. Truth of the matter is Polanski went to trial and truth of the matter is the judge imposted sentence, said sentence was served, and then he decided it was not punishment enough so he changed the agreement. Even the presiding judge that is now reviewing the case admits there were serious judicial mistakes. USA is so proud of that flawed system they cannot admit that now it is just a moot point. It was NOT a fair trial as guaranteed under THEIR constitution. Taking into consideration the time he already served in USA, the time he served here in Swiss prison and now house arrest, the man's debt is paid.

    Pot, meet Kettle.

  17. 17

    Hmmmmmmmmmm…..

I'm sorry but I could care less about this ! Even his victim is pulling for him so whatever!

  18. 18

It makes me sick that this sick-fuck gets away with what he did just because he is in the entertainment industry :S

Re: maryess – he was NEVER sentenced - he was evaluated by a prison psychiatrist. he FLED his sentencing hearing, hence the issue

Re: elbowgrease – the "so called victim" - you need help. i don't care what she did, i don't care what her mother did, she was 13 - he was 43. really? you're using the "but the kid was a slut" argument? really? nice.

PS - the judge was not required to follow the prison psych ward's (who polanski bribed btw) determination. if the judge agreed to consider it, or even follow it, he had EVERY LEGAL RIGHT not to. polanski would have had to then either accept the sentence or withdraw his plea and stand trial. he was too afraid and split.

  22. 22

weird i dont understand how so much people can be like uh yeh its ok you had sex wit a 13 yr old i mean she said she was 18… blah blah blah…… BUt um you had sex wit a 13 yr old!!!! how can people think its ok..weird….

  23. 23

The guy's a paedophile, no matter how you dress it up. He did a bunk and it's disgusting that he's been allowed to evade proper punishment for so long AND these celebrities condone his behaviour.

  24. 24

I wish people would get their facts straight about this case. Even the woman involved does not want to press charges. Perhaps because she willingly had sex with him. Ofcourse I don't agree with having sex with a minor but I was 15 when I first had sex, suppose my bloke should be banged up yeah?

  25. 25

perez your sick and ignorant. You have no right to judge the guy based on what others think of him.. he has given more positive memories to the world in one minute than you have your entire life.

  26. 26

Re: maryess – The victim does not decide anything here. A criminal offence is always the State against the Defendant. The victim has accepted money and is happy, this does not alter the crime.
Polanski was detained for Psychiatric assessment, and he expected this to be seen as time served. The judge was under NO obligation to follow this arrangement. If Polanski was dissatisfied, there were and still are LEGAL avenues to make his claims heard.

Re: rebeccahongkong – You are an idiot. Child prostitutes also have sex "willingly" and that doesn't make it right,or do you think if the child prostitute is white and rich, she deserves to get raped by an old white Jewish pedophile? The man is a sick fuck pedophile and rapist, and should rot in prison for his crime.

  28. 28

He's not a pedophile he's a hebephile. There is a big difference between the rape a young child and and having consensual sex with teenager who has probably already been sleeping around. Neither is right but pedophiles are far worse. Perez you are constantly making remarks on underage males, what does that make you, you sicko?

  29. 29

Re: Smooch77 – I was just going to mention that, too! Perez uses the words "El Lay" because he probably hasn't been laid for eons! Glad to see I'm not the only one annoyed by this stupidity!

  30. 30

    Re: rebeccahongkong

You have to be fucking brain dead! Could it be she is fucked up from old pervs. Just cause she don't want to press charges doesn't mean it's right.

  31. 31

My Goodness, when you have a black beast, you REALLY have a black beast!
The "victim" herself asked not to pursue Polanski. What the hell do you want more?
It happened 30 years ago for Christ sake! Maybe you should just complain about the so great American justice… ;)

  32. 32

Re: Diamonddivine – Who cares if it was 30 years ago or yesterday do you think he stopped trying to have sex with little girls by now!! He publicly dated Nastassja Kinski, when she was 15 years old and he was 43 years old, nobody said shiz WTF? he is enjoys sex with little girls that alone is a crime then add in drugs and forceble oral coppulation and now does it look ok!! ONCE AGAIN, the victim asked that the perv not be prosecuted because the media crucified the poor girl they made her seem like she caused it and basically took a "she asked for it" POV do you blame her she wanted it to stop she was 13!! also THE JUDGE HAS THE RIGHT TO OVERRIDE THE DA'S PLEA AGREEMENT AND IN THIS CASE I WOULD THROW THE BOOK AT THAT PERV TOO!

  33. 33

Re: holly183 – BTW she was 13 legally not statutory rape it is sex with a child under 14, she isnt even old enough for him to be charged with sex a minor!!

  34. 34

Re: maryess – wtf? he ran prior to sentencing & prior to the psych eval, The judge doesnt have to honor the DA's RECOMMENDATION FOR SENTENCING because it is a RECOMMENDATION!! He didnt serve time unless you mean the time in jail before he bailed out pretrial after being arrested and any felon can tell you that doesnt count!!

  35. 35

Despite expectations and recommendations that he would receive only probation at sentencing, the judge "suggested to Polanski's attorneys" that he would imprison and then deport him Upon learning of the judge's plans Polanski fled to France in February 1978 hours before he was to be formally sentenced.
