Glee Star Slams Obama

Glee's Jane Lynch has branded President Obama "a huge disappointment" for not legalizing gay marriage across America.
She believes that Proposition 8, which banned gay marriage in California, should not have taken place because the majority does not have the right to vote on the lives of the minority.
Lynch said:
"Shouldn't there be safeguards against the majority voting on the rights of a minority? If people voted on civil rights in the '60s, it would have never happened. It took somebody like (U.S. President) Lyndon Johnson going, 'F all of you! I'm going to do this.' Obama won't do it. He's a huge disappointment to me."
No H8! Equality for all!

Nick Jonas Does Taylor Swift (Not Literally)!

OK heres my problem with the Gay Marriage issue, I'm all for equal lights but Marriage is a religious issue. Give all the same rights, but you CANNOT force a religious institution to agree to something they dont believe in. The only reason this has taken so long to pass is that the country is founded on religious bullsh*t.
At least we now know Jane is gay. Always wondered
Re: tadzio562 – That is the stupidest thing i've ever heard! Duh, don't you remember the civil war and the 14th Amendment?
Re: Anastasia P – Hey, dipshit! He could "rally" the people, educate them, support laws and propositions. There is much that he can do. Maybe you should learn more about how government works!!
Having said that, I certainly hope all you fudge packers are sent back to the closet!!
Re: gloom – My friend, it is not bias to tell the truth! Bush was a fair president and would have been much better had he stood up and defended himself against all you deniers!
Re: rockerchik – Why do so many of you have your heads up your ass. There IS so much he can be doing … educating people, rally Congress, send his lawyers into court. Stop fudge packing and read a government/civics book. This is yet another reason why queers should not have civil rights!
Um she's right.
I agree… The majority should not determine the rights of the minority. Civil rights were not voted on by the people for the same reason. Unfortunately, there are a lot of bigots in America and they shouldn't be allowed to determine if a loving couple can be married.
Re: PrinceD – Actually, the "jobless rates" are higher, not "more down" than ever.
I'm continually amazed by the comments on this site. The IQ rate has gone from an average of 100 down to 80.
umm, zooby, if that were true, forcing medical professionals to perform abortions would not be a part of the medical plan he's hoping to have passed.
Well said!
A bit of double speak here don't you think….she says that "the majority does not have the right to vote on the lives of the minority. "
This when we have the "Minority" of people in the halls of Congress and the White House deciding what we should have in the way of health care, this when the "Majority" of people do not want this fiasco passed and put into law, just a bunch of the same old crap
I love this woman more and more every day.
Jane Lynch is absolutely right. I admire her for speaking out. I'm done supporting Obama and the DNC financially. I sent them so much money during the campaign for 2008 and they are nothing but a HUGE disappointment.
i wish u all would stop comparing gay marriage to the civil rights movement of the 60s. they are not the same thing.

educate urselves before trying to make the 2 seem like the same thing because they are not.
Re: DaKndyBoii – ur a fucking IDIOT, just like most of the republican party. ur definitely in good company.
Re: Assbleep – said…you gay people need to shut the fuck up for once, and stop acting like fighting for your right to wear pink spandex and flail your wrists about is the same as the civil rights movement.

What you said is just as bigoted as if you had said that the civil rights movement was all about afros and the right to wear dashiki's in public you bigoted tool.
Wah Wah — yes, it does seem it should just be a given— however, he didn't run on the marriage for all platform, why do you expect that to be a priority above preventing us from sliding into a Depression (6 more months of W and we'd have been there) and 2 inherited wars
WTG Jane. ITA with everything you've said.
Yes, I see Jane is correct…if only Obama would act more like Chavez, or Castro or Amadinnerjacket from Iran. (big sigh)
What a stupid, ignorant twat Jane is. Elections have consequences.
Love me some Jane Lynch: She's right about that n*gro.
I would think right now in this day and age Obama's got more pressing issue's to deal with other then this. It should be up to each individual state to take care of their laws and how they want to amend their laws not the President of the United States. Take it up with your congressman and leave the White House out of it. P.S. I am not for or against this Prop.8 so I have a non-bias opinion.
He never said he was going to legalize gay marriage. I think he has bigger fish to fry right now. It is not a national issue anyways– you don't apply to get a marriage license from the federal government. Re: SnowBoarder4LIFE – If you want to call someone "retarted", you should probably make sure you spell it correctly (RETARDED).
the miniorites are taking religion out of everything else .. we should have known they would come after marriage sooner or alter.
Re: gingingin – I agree. Obama didn't cast a vote against gay marriage back in September in California; the citizens of that state did! Why are you trying to blame Obama for something the people in your own state did? Perhaps when their opinions shift, it will make it much easier for President Obama to legalize gay marriage but as of right now, he has very little support on this issue from people in both political parties. It sucks but that's the way it is. Her disappointment is displaced. She needs to take a look at the people who employs her, works in her local grocery, some of her peers and the majority of Americans (myself excluded)! AND at least he didn't try to push for an amendment to the constitution to make gay marriage illegal like that retard Bush. She needs to count her blessings that she has a president that doesn't mirror any of Bushie's insipidly hateful policies! Stupid twat!!!!!
Re: el_jeffe – "Marriage is a religious issue." - Since when??? My 13 year marriage has nothing to do with religion; it has everything to do with friendship, mutual respect and LOVE! That's the dumbest, most bullshit-filled statement I've heard since leaving East Buddha Fuck Alabama!! GAWD!! Stupidity everywhere!!!!!
Re: hakusho22 – Thank you. Sad that so many people don't understand this but am very pleased (and surprised) that a Perez reader has the brainpower to not only understand the facts but also able to disseminate them to those who simplu don't have a clue!
Re: Dick Gozinya – That's right. That NEGRO who has the right to marry while that hardened dyke has to sit around pissing and moaning about it. Yeah, she showed that Negro, huh? Fucking inbred jed pedo!!
She is right! Messiah Dumbama is a failure. He has lied about everything and not kept a single promise made during his campaign. Dumbocrats are such losers!
Re: allhailamy –
OK, let me get this straight (for you, that is): You say that the "minorities" are taking religion out of everything else, including marriage (by "minorities", I'm guessing you mean Black people, right? Cause Latinos are such HUGE fans of gays and the idea of gay marriage! Pffttt!) Are you saying that Black people are the reason California's gay couples can't marry? Because if you had half a brain and did some research, starting with the US Census Bureau, you'd know that the population of California is 33,756,666. The percentage of White people in California is 76%; the percentage of Black people in California is 6.7%. SO, you're saying that whopping 6.7% of Black voters solely determined that gay marriage should be illegal? YOU, my piss-poor excuse of a piece of shit, are delusional and in dire need of mental help. Because I'm feeling charitable this year, I will gladly pay for your electro-shock therapy AND the frontal lobotomy you so desperately need. I guess what I'm really trying to convey to you is that you are a worthless piece of unintelligible dung who should be put down like a useless horse with two broken legs. Either that or you could try going to HIGH SCHOOL and maybe they will be kind enough to teach you about numbers, fractions and how to interact in the society in which you (undeservingly) live. I know that's a difficult task for a sociopath but, hey, baby steps!!!
Re: Bearish – Blah, blah! Welcome to 2010! We're coming to get you!
Re: SWEETPIECE! – State by state? Ummmm…no! This will end up in the Supreme Court, where it belongs! NOBODY should have the right to vote on someone else's life! Especially when it doesn't affect anyone but the couples involved! Trust me,the world will NOT come to an end if gay marriage is approved. Look at other countries that have legalized it. They're still going strong. And…the few states here that support it are all doing fine, too. What difference does it make? Life will go on,nothing will change except for the lives of gay people.
uhmmm, Hey Jane… 'majority over minority'?… yeah,… its called democracy.
Re: gloom – Damn right! Great post!
Re: el_jeffe – #101-Nope,you're wrong! Marriage is a CIVIL law,NOT a religious one. This country was NOT founded on religion! If it were, there would not be a separation of church & state. The church(es) doesn't have to get involved with their "God said, the bible says: crap. If a church doesn't want to marry Gay people, then don't! We don't care! It's about our civil rights to be treated equally, not like lepers and second class citizens! We pay taxes, work, are consumers, etc. Yet we are treated like shit! THAT is the point! NOBODY should get to vote on who I want to marry! If it's 2 consenting adults, that's all that it needs to be.
Re: FastTalker – -#104- And YOU call someone else a dipshit? Pot meet Kettle!
obama is full of empty promises—america really messed this one up
Just one more…of THE MANY…..reasons I love Jane Lynch, not only a fabulous actress, but a fabulous human being as well
Re: luvstotango –
Umm I hate all those hypocritical bitches.
But Bush is the worst of all! Anyone in their right mind can see that.
Pure logic will tell you that he was a terrible president. You must me out of your god damn mind if you see him as a hero. Or maybe you're just a rich, white, Christian, oiler Republican (which is the only group of people Bush ever gave a fuck about)…..
I definitely agree with Jane! A person has every right to choose the one they want to be with! Love has no gender! The world needs more love! Why enforce that which restricts it? I cannot understand the idea of having to have gay marriage "legal." It's ridiculous.
Holy shit you're stupid. First of all, marriage is a state-by-state issue. As of right now, President Obama does not have the right to say California can or cannot ban gay marriage, unless they go against federal law, which has not yet been decided. Second, he SAID during the campaign season that he is not for gay MARRIAGE being legalized. Mario, learn the difference between local, federal and state.
FUCK OBAMA
