This is pretty fucked up!!
Apparently if a woman is stopped by police in a D.C. "Prostitution Free Zone" and is carrying three or more condoms on her, she could be arrested for prostitution!!!!
Both New York City and San Francisco have followed suit with the 'three condoms and you're out' law, which not only is unfortunate for those gals who aren't sex workers, it also promotes unsafe sex for those who are!
Not okay!
Our ladies should be allowed to keep themselves safe from STDs no matter what!

Oh Please, this is just so they don't have to have a major sting any time they want to get the hookers off the streets. They know WHO the hookers are, but because clubwear has gotten so slutty they were able to say "Nahhh, I'm just coming back from a club". This way they can sweep up the known hookers. Also, this is in the prostitution free zones. There are plenty of other areas in the city where this law doesn't apply and the hookers most likely know that.
That is BEYOND messed up!!!!!!! So many many things wrong with this, don't know where to begin, but here's a try: 1. It's BLATANT SEXISM: somebody should seriously consider a discrimination claim. A MALE can carry as many condoms as he likes, however, a female (PS the most susceptible party in a heterosexual encounter to get a disease or pregnancy) cannot or else will be arrested as a prostitute. Not only disparate impact but disparate treatment as well - i smell lawsuit. 2. It's a public health nightmare - discouraging prostitutes from having condoms ??? in DC ??? Senators' wives are sh***ing themselves right now in fear of what their husbands will bring home. 3. It's morally backwards. It's a double standard - man w/ 3 or more condoms = stud whereas woman w/ 3 or more condoms = hooker??? 4. It's ethically disgusting. EVERYBODY has the right to protect themselves from disease.

What if you'd like to have more than 1 session with your man/the same guy more than once in a night? Or the next morning too? You can't re-use condoms…hence sometimes carrying more than 1… I hope law makers aren't seriously pursing this…
Not only is this on many levels wrong but it fails to address ANY problems at all.
Prostitution shouldn't be illegal — PURCHASING a prostitute should. The prostitutes are (mainly) victims and arresting them victimizes them more. Ergo — arrest the sick puppies who can't get sex without buying it. But get rid of this dumb law first.
