Another Lady Leaves Beyonce's Dad

williams_knowles_e.jpg

Only this time it has nothing to do with extramarital affairs.

Michelle Williams, former member of Destiny's Child, has announced she will be parting ways with her manager aka Beyowulf's dad Mathew Knowles and Music World Entertainment.

In a press release, Michelle explains her decision to depart from her management saying:

"After much prayer and consideration I have decided to part ways from my management team, Mathew Knowles and Music World Entertainment. From my time in Destiny’s Child to my solo career, I am grateful for everything Mathew and his team has done for me. We’ve shared great success together. However, as I move in a new direction in my career, I felt it was time. I wish Mathew Knowles and the Music World Entertainment family all the best."

What new direction is she talking about? The only thing she's got going for her is taking over Asslee's part as Roxie Hart in Chicago.

Wonder if this will put a damper on a Destiny's Child reunion, who are also managed under Music World Entertainment.

He only cares about Bey's career, I'm surprised she (and Kelly) didn't leave earlier!

LoL! It is so hilarious when people try to soften the blow by saying stuff like "after much prayer", ha ha ha ha. Like, it wasn't my decision, god told me to do it.

    3. 3

This is not going to help Michelle's career. Beyonce was the star, the voice. It was like Justin and the rest of N Sync. The other members didn't have the star power that Justin had. At least now that Michelle is away from Knowles, she won't be able to blame him anymore. Her voice is pretty weak. Maybe she'll do well in gospel, but that's about it.

maybe michelle and kelly can negotiate more money IF there's a DC reunion if they're not under matthew's management company.

Actually Michelle was smart to stay with Destiny's Child. She's made a lot of money.I bet all of those original members wish they had stayed in the group.Where are they now?

Her career is moving in another direction - towards musical theatre. I saw her in Chicago as Roxie Hart when she was in London last year and she was great. I am looking forward to seeing her reprise the role on B'Way. Beyonce is always going to be MK's first priority and she needs to get on and do her own thing. I wish her well.

Mathew knowles is SATAN himself. He is a slimey, coniving tool who has only looked out for Beyonce's (emphasis on ONLY Beyonce's) best interest from the start. I think what is done in the dark eventually will come to the light and everyone is hopefully going to realize that this man is a snake that no one should ever do business with. I really hate low down people they are the reason the world is so bad.

I’m so glad that Michelle FINALLY jumped off the Titanic that is
called Beyonce’s World Entertainment (who are we fooling here, it
may be called Music World Entertainment, but let’s call it what it
really is). In the beginning of Destiny’s Child, with all its
original members that included LaTavia and Letoya, Matthew Knowles
had only one goal – make Beyonce the focal point and star of the
group, i.e. Diana Ross and the Supremes. No one else could have
pulled off that role in Dreamgirls other than Bey because she lived
      that life.

(Part 2 - since my comment is rather long)

When a parent is the manager of a music group and wants to control
everything, you’re only asking for trouble, even if the members of
the group all belong to the same family. The Jackson 5 is an
example, with Michael as the star. The only other member of that
group that had any kind of marginal success as a solo artist was
      Jermaine.

When LaTavia and Letoya wanted different management because they saw
how the tide was turning in seeing Matthew’s vision of the group,
he kicked them out of the group. Lawsuits ensued and then came the
revolving door of DC members, until the last three members were left
standing, still with Bey as the focal point. Eventually, she went
solo and got success, endorsement deals, etc. and her rise to fame
took off. Matthew only concentrated on her and never allowed the
same success for Kelly, Michelle or even his other daughter Solange,
at least here in the United States. He still wanted his manager’s
fee, but they had to give it to him by ways of them working outside
      the United States.

      (Part 3…again, comment rather long)

I never liked Bey from the moment the original lineup of DC changed
because I knew one way or the other she was behind the kick-outs. I
don’t support her albums, any movie she is in with her crappy
acting, or anything else that she does. While I’m happy that she as
a black woman is succeeding in the entertainment industry, I’m not
happy with how she attained it. She even sabotaged Letoya’s career
with releasing her album the same day as Letoya’s. That is a cold
and calculating act that only a devil diva like Bey would do.

Even though Kelly is a cousin and Solange is a daughter of the
Knowles family, they aren't Bey. Blood may be thicker than water,
but money and power makes some people change they way they treat
people. When the breadwinner of the family is bringing in the
millions, everyone wants a piece of the action. Even Momma Tina got
in on the action by using Bey to launch her horrific House of Dereon
      fashion line.

      (#4…continuing rant)

Revlon can keep changing Bey’s skin tone as light to the point that
she is barely recognizable, but if she screws up something royally
doing something stupid, ala Tiger, all of her endorsements will be
gone and Revlon will be all too happy to yank her near white face
from their billboards, magazines and T.V. ads and replace her with
someone else. Karma has a funny way of changing people and I’m
waiting for the day when B-day has her K-day.

      (# 5…comment concludes)

Some of you may think that Bey may make the decisions, but if that
were the case, she would have dumped her father as her manager years
ago and found someone else to manage her. I wouldn’t want my
father managing me after the way he treats my mother, cheating on her
and having a love child or two with other women. Bey is as dumb as a
bag of door knobs and listens to what her father tells her to do. If
her father told her that she would be paid a million dollars to
perform in the middle of the blistering hot desert without a band,
sing a set of songs acapella all alone with a satellite feed showing
her performance, she would do it, because she is that stupid. Do you
think she would have performed for Khadafi’s son on New Year’s Eve
making 1+ million bucks if she really knew that he is a women-beating
terrorist? She evidently doesn’t take the time to watch the news or
read the paper to find out what is going on outside her diva world,
and couldn’t care less. As long as the check clears, she would
perform for anyone. Bey has made some questionable career choices
over the years that makes me question how low her IQ is at times.

I only wish Kelly, Michelle, Solange, LaTavia and Letoya the success
they deserve and leave Bey in the dust in the process.
