Jurassic Park IV Is Happening! And So Is Parts 5 & 6 Too!
Director of The Wolfman, Joe Johnston, revealed to Box Office Magazine that Jurassic Park IV was in the works and it may even be the beginning of a new trilogy.
He said:
Well, there is going to be a Jurassic Park IV. And it's going to be unlike anything you've seen. It breaks away from the first three—it's essentially the beginning of the second Jurassic Park trilogy. It's going to be done in a completely different way.
If you think of the first three as a trilogy, number four would be the beginning of a second trilogy. If they keep working—and if audiences keep going to them—there's no reason why there wouldn't be. We just want to make them justified in their own right. We don't want to make sequel after sequel just because there's a market for it. We want to tell different, interesting stories. You don't want to just sell hamburger.
At this point, it's not hamburger - it's dog shit, but good luck!

I enjoyed the first and third movies, but the third only made 368 million worldwide and cost nearly 100 million. I don't think this warrants a sequel but then again people love dinosaurs.

This is going to be AMAZING! I agree 3D would be sick, but I would go see it either way. I grew up on JP and honestly who cares if the plots are a bit silly DINOSAURS ARE THE SHIT! And you all know it.
PS: Also I agree they don't keep coming back the movies were pretty original for what they were.. I mean you can't do that much more with the scenario of some dinos on an island. Hopefully there is a lot of blood and guts a la the guy getting eaten off the toilet in number one!
