I thought you hated Fox News you damn hippocrite. They suck until they provide something you want to use on your website. You suck!

  2. 2

omfg. are you serious? the kid is trying to do something good with himself. so why hold him down. jesus christ. this might be his only ticket out of the ghetto. leave him alone.

  3. 3

I do not think that they background check on the first round. There are to many contestants at the open auditions to check them in advance. Big deal anyway.

  4. 4

    weird, gross, white trash, etc.

  5. 5

Damn, dude has a mug shot photo album. Maybe we should give the guy a chance. He's probably trying to get his life together.

  6. 6

    POT. KETTLE. BLACK.
Your own research recently has left a lot to be desired.

    new celebrity site www.pixelwalloffame.com

  9. 9

this is so stupid. you can't be an american idol if you have been arrested???? how many artists today have been arrested before fame or even AFTER… they should give him a chance, maybe if he makes it he will change his life around. i wish him luck!

  10. 10

    a marijuana charge… big deal.
Give the guy a chance to do something positive w his life.

  11. 11

He was "charged" - not really anything big.

  12. 12

    LOL

  13. 13

Re: nursesRgr8 – The video is from WOFL-TV, the local Fox affiliate. Not Fox New Channel.

  14. 14

you must be kidding, love you perez. but why would american idol do a background check on someone auditioning to be a singer….

  15. 15

a 3-minute piece on an american idol contestant's "sketchy" past? this is what passes for news these days? who cares about this guy–let him make it past the first round before you start freaking out about his "sordid" past. ugh.

  16. 16

marijuana charge? i guess you missed all these:

March 2005: Possession of cannabis with intent to distribute, possession of cocaine, escape, and two counts resisting an officer without violence.

November 2005: Ten counts of contempt of court, providing false ID to law enforcement officer, escape during transport, resisting officer without violence, possession of cocaine and battery by detainee in detention facility.

February 2007: Possession of controlled substance of less than 10 grams, providing false ID to law enforcement officer, resisting officer without violence, escape.

August 2008: Violation of probation, driving while license suspended, no registration.

    December 2009: Contempt of court.

  17. 17

It's been 2 months. Where are you? Something has to be wrong.

  18. 18

If he made it past day one of Hollywood Week, I would be very surprised. They would have vetted him once he's in contention to become a semi-finalist.

  19. 19

so he sold or use some weed ..big fucking deal ..
I can't believe they are doing this to him…he is trying to better himself and folllow a dream yet many are trying to crash his dreams and his one change.. talk about trying to keep a man down

A small time pot dealer who likes to blow off court dates. Hardly the career criminal they make him out to be. I like how they say it was proven he didn't have drugs in his system the first time and then had MORE charges against him. Yellow journalism.

    21

(Talking head): What does American Idol 'look into' as far as these contestants?
Uhm, their presence and their ability to perform, obviously, as it should be.
She stated that the taser incident turned up NO drugs in his system.
We all know young blacks don't ever get picked on by police. From what I've heard, several arrests for a young black man is a side rite of passage in some parts.
He deserves the chance to earn a good living like everybody else. He's upbeat, clean, well groomed and dressed, and brought a Nice Voice!

  22. 22

I don't really see this as too big a deal. He deserves the chance to turn his life around.

  23. 23

This guy's history actually shows how fucked up media exploitation is with given court charges. I believe that it should be law for a media to 'explain' the charge, rather than simply state it.

I've had charges (nothing conviced) of resisting arrest, evading a police officer and assualt of an officer. How? I was pulled over, asked why I was pulled over and freaked out for being arrested over nothing (freaked out = continous questions). Their use of a batton had to be 'booked' with some explanation (i.e. resisting arrest).

Everything was dropped and that was the end of the story. However, before you read that paragraph, I'm sure you would have thought otherwise?

I hope this guy does well.

  24. 24

I'll also throw it out there that the two reporters bringing light to the story seemed very arrogant with his rapsheet. The girl who mentioned some of his charges rubs off as someone who is a rat to the system.

  25. 25

Give the guy a break. His criminal past is a joke, its not like American Idol hasn't had other druggie contestants.

  26. 26

actually the news doesn't make any damn sense. they said he was accused of taking cocaine and the reports shown he had no drugs in his system. well, i think the popo's owe him an apology.

  27. 27

Citizen, something is missing from your story. The person who posted the charges only posted public information. If you don't want it posted, don't do the crime. He apparently has a history of criminal activity, not just one time.

    28

    WHOOPITY SHIT

Why is this even newsworthy? How bout they talk about the rapists murderers and child molesters and animal abusers out there… this is fucking stupid.. The news is so fucking gay especially in the states, CORRUPT. Even if this guy has done some mary, who gives a fuck, at least he is doing something positive by trying out for American Idol, which really, isn't that positive

  29. 29

HI, my friend, I www.msnshopping.us bought clothes, good quality and service also good. This is the reason I like it

  30. 30

How many artists have been arrested for guns, drugs etc… We need to quite with the wholesome idol image already. These people are only human. You even have scandals involving the seedy judges. C'mon!!??

  31. 31

LDD, I tell who gives a shit, those of us who have been victims of drug addict/dealers crimes. Where do you think these people get the money? He was last released first of this year. He made his choices so now he has to live with consequences of them. When he goes a couple of years and no arrest then I will believe he is trying to do better. As for Hollywood, they need to clean up their act.

  32. 32

Blah, it's drugs! Nothing too serious. I mean, he didn't kill anyone or anything. Give him a chance, he's cute!

  33. 33

Why would they background check him at the audition stage? He's not gonna make it onto the show because he can't sing. As for his past…he's a drug dealer, con artist and loser. Dont wanna get tasered? Dont attack the police!

  34. 34

Oh, for chrissakes, just give hime a contract already. I believe in redemption as next as the next sucker, but should not someone earn their props before we go rewarding them for any little thing, like half a temptations song sung haltingly with melismas galore. And if you want to help get someone out of the ghetto how about helping someone working towards that goal.

  35. Bmas says – reply to this

    35

*ahem* Maybe he'll clean it up so he can be a celebrity…
but if he is doing drugs he could relapse… which would be bad on AI.

ALSO, it's kinda sad… he does have a good voice and he could've just got on the wrong side of things when he was young. Most drug dealers don't do the drugs they sell… they're smart enough to know what addiction looks like.

  36. 36

I'm kind of surprised but at the same time i'm not.

  37. 37

This is someone trying to better himself and Fox News just needed another story, they suck! This is dumb!

  38. 38

    Wow

  39. 39

it doesn't sound like this guy has that much of a shady past. plus, he's obviously cleaned up his act and is trying to make positive changes in his life…so let's leave the past in the past on this one. all of his charges don't seem to involve inflicting harm in others, so he doesn't pose a threat…this news piece was pretty weak.

  40. 40

Only sick, jealous people like you thinks its appropriate to bring a person down based on his past. It's America, Perez. Let him leave his past behind and give him a chance to pursue his happiness from now on.

  41. 41

Why would Idol do a check on the people auditioning?? They sure enough do a whole lot of checks on the favorites.. all the way down to going back to their hometowns and showing all sorts of back story about them… so why couldn't they check on a guy they obviously thought was entertaining enough to waste 12 minutes of airtime on? As for the post by nursesRgr8, the clip is from a local fox affiliate, not FOX News Network… they are 2 different things. SkiiBoSki can't really sing, and it is doubtful that he will abide by the demands given to the performers in the upcoming rounds, based on his shady past.

  42. 42

Eh. He wasn't all that great anyway compared to some of the contestants. Even if he didn't have that past, I doubt he would've made it too far anyway.

  43. 43

hopefully he'll realize other talents of his and stop with this drug biz, he can change his life around, and if he gets famous, hopefully he won't turn back :p

  44. 44

Re: nursesRgr8 – Actually, Fox's local news stations are quite good, and not anywhere near as biased as the Fox News cable channel. I live in central Florida, and I watch this news show all the time, but I've got no use for Fox News Channel itself… except maybe as comedy.

  45. 45

    You watch Fox news!!!!!

That is the biggest story here………..Perez watch's FOX news…

    very very interesting

  46. 46

Maybe you need better research as well - not to mention an editor and a proof-reader who knows how to spell and put a sentence together. And by the way, Charo was born in 1941, not 1951. Like I said, you need better research.

  47. 47

considering that idol made a contestant leave in the hollywood part because of some nudy films i think this applies to that. doesn't anyone remember that large black lady who could really sing but they made leave because she had a questionable video with her in it. come on……

  48. 48

i hate fucking ugly african pieces of criminal shit!!

  49. 49

This guy is trying to turn his life around and seizes his chance. He is a good singer and deserves his chance, but oh no, the RACIST FOX will have non of it, and you Perez are collaborating? Shame on you. And of course the racist police got away with FALSE ARREST AND TASERING this guy. Shame on you Perez.Re: djnv2009

  50. 50

Re: djnv2009 – Who ever you are, I do not need to see your photo to tell you that this Ski Bo Ski is a hundred times BETTER LOOKING than you.You are JEALOUS, aren't you? YOU poor SOB.

  51. 51

bet the producers don't care - just gives the show more publicity and OH THE DRAMA!! They probably don't expect him to last long anyway, just boost the ratings in the early weeks! Last year's full-on pimping of Adam Lambert was over the top, even by AI standards. I swore off the show at that point, now and forever!

  52. 52

I have a criminal record, does that affect my singing ability? No. Good luck Skii, I like your enthusiasm and voice :)

  53. 53

honestly, who cares, this guy has commited a few crimes but hes still a good singer, let him sing!

Johnny Cash spent time in Folsom prison. Why are these talking vultures so intent on rooting through and finding the worst things they can about people and then turning it into 'news?' I guess it's easier than researching and reporting on the real stories, which they never report on.
