Well, if I was middle-aged and a bit overweight and my 25 year old skinny assistant suggested to me that i go on a diet I'd be pissed too!! How many people, close to you or not, do you EVER suggest to their face to go on a diet. It's rude!

This is sad. It's not just that she was an everyday person who suddenly found herself in the spotlight. She is also a person who has a learning disability and is not quite an adult in terms of emotional and intellectual development. So in many ways, she is like an adolescent acting out.

She was trust into the spotlight so fast and suddenly her life is everyone's business. I would probably end up the same way if that happened to me and my privacy was suddenly gone.

Also that assistant suggesting that, that was downright rude. I'm glad she ate that Mars Bar in protest. I wouldn't say erradic there, I'd say more along the lines of "you want me on a diet? well fuck you!" LOL

She's a woman from a tiny village with learning difficulties who never really held a job who has suddenly been thrust into one of the toughest, nastiest industries going. An industry where every aspect of her life and personal appearance is mercilessly and cruelly dissected in a very public way. Of course she's experiencing difficulties adjusting. She needs a loyal and dedicated team of handlers to shelter her and keep her from being eaten alive.

This coming from a man who breaks down like a whining little bitch on his vlog every time someone criticizes him. A woman reacts badly to being told she should go on a diet, that's the story effectively. When will people realise that this is part of a press campaign of smears and lies because their wish, their dream is for Susan Boyle to have another breakdown, they can't wait. The last one so serious she was released after a mere five days. The thumbsucking incident was a quick joke made to look like a breakdown (check on youtube for the video if you don't believe me), the airport incident was a singsong amongst passengers turned into a nervous breakdown.

So save us the "she can't cope" comments. That's not the truth, that's the press telling lies and getting to feel self-righteous about it.

Maybe she was already nuts. After all, she did live by herself, in a cottage. Maybe there is a reason she had no one and never kissed. Her true colors are coming out because she is in the public eye now.

As i come from Blackburn anaw, i know Susan Boyle, she is most definately not suited for "celebrityhood" she has not got the mental capacity for it. People on here calling her "weirdo" and such names are cruel and vicious ! She is disabled, would you go around calling people with obvious disabilties "weirdo's" ??? Disgusting ! The woman has a heart of gold and just cant cope from being someone who lived in her own space to all this palavar ! Think people before you start throwing insults

I hope ppl from the American Psychological Association board reads this shiz. Maybe a nice phone call from them will keep perez from reporting her "behaviors" that should not be reported. welll she did live with her mom and her cat and apparently didn't have much of a life until she got discovered but the report about her carrying on at the airport did sound like she was acting nutty…from ZERO public attention her whole life to ALOT… that's quite a shift of reality…and it's not like she was aspiring to all that attention….

Susan Boyle may have been picked on when she was a kid, but she doesn't take shit from rude people anymore–whether an out-of-line PA, or a stuffed shirt in an airport. She was having fun singing, at the request of other passengers–so what? She wasn't throwing up in someone else's closet or punching anyone out–typical behavior for those in the "biz". She's not crazy by any means. If she clowns around with a mop instead of taking alcohol or drugs, that's a much healthier way to let off steam. Her "biz" is singing, and she does that superbly.

I dont think shes cut out for the biz, shes got talent, she needs to have it shown but I dont think she can handle the stress.

Hey - she isn't one of the sheep, yet she is special whether or not she conforms to the flock, baaa. What experts there are in the world who either do or do not know her, yet feel it is their privilege to critique, analyze, and undermine her. Hey, she is special and different and hopefully the rest of the flock can honor that. It was reported tonight that she got on stage with a Susan Boyle impersonator in Edinburgh, and was laughing and joking with the audience. My, how she gets over these "nervous breakdowns" fast.
