      Are you trying to compare the struggle of African Americans to the "Gay"Struggle. I mean granted, they have had unfair injustices, but you're gonna compare that to what Martin Luther King jr. was preaching about? Because last time I checked, Gays were never made into slaves, denied the right to vote, had to drink at seperate fountains, restraurents, go to seperate schools,denied the right to vote…etc.etc.etc….Not to mention I don't think MLK Jr. would have agreed with gay marriage considering he was a religious man and minister. Secondly they have all the "rights" mentioned above. Except the right to get married, and there is a reason for that.Asshole.

      I'm sure most people don't realize this but MLK was a Republican. The democrats have done everything in their power to make them seem to be the party for civil rights; however, the majority of the democrats voted against the civil rights bill that the REPUBLICANS championed.

      Actually, "Racists" whites in power believed that blacks should not have the right to vote and were treated less than human. All humans are created equal. No one race is better than the other. Even the bible says that. The bible also says homosexuality is wrong and of course gay marriage would be beyond wrong. Therefore, that won't go away. This issue is out of racist ignorance. Gay marriage being wrong is a belief and can be traced back to a source written many centuries ago for that belief. Giving a substantial reason for denying blacks the right to vote can not. And Dr. MLK Jr. being a religious man as well as many people do not believe or agree with it as such. Now would he agree to base homosexuals, probably not. But that doesn't mean he'd agree to them having the right to marry like a man and woman. Get over it. And he wasn't preaching about Gay Struggle. You just have to understand that.
