Of all the news publications, you'd think the New York Times would know Dexter's Michael C. Hall has been battling cancer, right?
Nope!
The Time's Moment blog was tweeting during the Golden Globe awards on Sunday night and made this unnecessary and completely insensitive comment about the cancer stricken actor:

This is a non-story. A minor celebrity who has had a couple of series on cable wears a toque in LA (a la Justin Bobby and other Hollywood douchebags), a live tweeter doesn't know about the cancer and comments on how s/he "doesn't get why he's wearing it", and now a bunch of boneheads on this site think the guy/girl should lose their livelihoods for such a minor faux pas. I sure hope you're held to the same standard in your jobs (i.e. can't make even the most insignificant error without getting fired for it.) I'm sure the tweeter feels bad for the error. At least s/he apologized. And for the record, in the picture above, Mr. Hall looks like he should be wearing a helmet and licking the windows of the short bus instead of wearing that toque.
