Nike Launches New Golf Clubs Without Tiger!
We think that's a good idea right now.
Nike will be launching their new line of golf clubs this month, but Tiger Woods will not help with the promotion for obvious reasons.
The clubs, Victory Red STR8-FIT Tour fairway woods, will go on sale January 28 for $299. Nike's selling point is that they were designed by all 13 golf pros who promote Nike products and that Lucas Glover tested them last year at the U.S. Open Championship leading to a win for the lesser-known golfer.
Nike relied a lot on Woods for his promotional value as the brand was not a major player in the golf world before their endorsement deal with Tiger began in 1996. But they're hoping that the clubs will sell well despite the lack of Tiger. CEO Mark Parker explains:
"We feel very good about how we are managing our golf business through this period and our position in the broader golf market. We'll continue to support Tiger and his family as we, of course, look forward to his return."
Really?
Maybe it's time to seek out a new famous face to associate with the brand?
What about Michelle Wie who won her first professional tournament last year at 20 years old and has been hailed as the potential female version of Tiger Woods…minus all the skanks!

A new spokesman, to replace Tiger, is not a girl golfer…no one watches girl golfing and no one watches golf, unless Tiger is playing.

All "skanks" aside, Tiger is the best golfer in the world and his talent on the golf course is what really matters. People need to stop being so judgmental. Personal life is PERSONAL!!!

I'm not trying to defend Tiger the husband BUT it shows how little you know about golf to even mention Tiger and Wie in the same sentence. Tiger might be every name in the book but GOLF WITHOUT TIGER DOESN'T EXIST! There is not, never has been, and probably never will be a golfer as Great as Tiger.
Tiger IS NOT GOLF. Golf can and will survive without Tiger. I wish you people that think Golf is defined by Tiger would stop saying that, because it's not true. That's Tiger's PR people and the media feeding you all that bull, and you are buying into that crap. One person does NOT make or define a sport.
The only sport that Tiger will be remembered for is Chasing Tail, cockTAIL waitresses, that is, along with his hostesses and porn stars.
I've seen Michelle Wie play live, and who says American men don't watch women's golf? 80% of the crowd that watched Michelle play in this women's tourney were men and not balding 60 year-olds, either, but guys in their 20's and 30's. There was much comment from men about Michelle's long legs (she was wearing a short pink skort.) Don't think Tiger has THAT kind of appeal, especially with his ugly twig legs with no calves. HAHAHAHA!
