Pattinson Joins The Stars To Show His Support For Haiti

wenn26634872.jpg

This Friday, several concerned celebrities will be gathering to participate in the Hope for Haiti television telethon originally organized by hottie George Clooney.

And in some very exciting news to every tween and Twilight fanatic out there, Robert Pattinson will also be making an appearance.

The hottie will be appearing from London and presenting via satellite. Also set to appear from England are Jay-Z and Bono who are scheduled to perform.

But good thinking with R-Patz. That will definitely help generate younger viewers old enough to donate themselves or beg their parents to donate and help.

Other celebs helping to present or manning the phone banks will include Brad Pitt, Zac Efron, Sandra Bullock, Renee Zellweger, Colin Farrell, Courteney Cox and many more. As for performers, we'll get a taste of Taylor Swift, Christina Aguilera, Shakira, Alicia Keys, and Bruce Springsteen.

And hosting will be George Clooney in Los Angeles, Anderson Cooper in Haiti, and Wyclef Jean in NYC. The benefit is scheduled to last two hours and will air this Friday on all major television networks.

Make sure to tune in AND phone in!

My friends in just a few minutes we will find out if the state of Massachusettes has saved this great nation from a facist dictator now occupying the white house. Let's us pray that Scott Brown wins this senate seat and there by putting an end to a disgrace health care bill that will destroy this country. Massachusettes now Big Ears Obama your next to be taken down

Perez, To refer to George as "hotty" ia a gay man"s way of being a male chauvinst. To refer to him simply as a nice guy is better.

hopefully, most of america does not donate just because some celebrity tells them to. I really believe most people who are going to donate have already done so. red cross texting is up to $21 million today. thats 2.1 million people. Still questions about wyclef, he has not come clear with all his 990s, he does not do disaster relief and money from this telethon is going to him. If I donate more, it will not go to this telethon because of questions surrounding him and the possibility of some charities that are not qualified to help down there.

    9. 9

yeah, where do we watch this? like in the uk, can we watch it?
      (:

    10. 10

besides, 20% of americans plan to donate or have. 50% of americans feel that the government is donating enough and do not plan to or can not donate. sorry to be a cynic, been too long in the not for profit sector. especially when clooney said he wants 'haiti to know the world cares' Haiti is not going to be sitting in the streets down there watching. yes, they will raise money, but it will be a drop in the hat compare to what the countries of the world have already given and pledged. European countries are at half a billion, we pledged a hundred million, you know we will go far beyond that. Israel and many other nations are there. The world cares George. you are just giving a big party and if that makes you feel good, so be it.

      Senator Scott Brown (R-MA)

This is a tectonic shift with the American electorate…ground-breaking.

To see The American Spirit rise again in the Cradle of Liberty that the Democrat Progressives so long have tried to befoul brings tears to my eyes and joy to my heart. The Nation owes a debt of gratitude to all you Bay State patriots voting for Brown today!

    20. 20

we're in a recession. those of us who can donate and want to will or have. i sorta think it's real lame to ask for money when our nation is in such a shit hole and a lot of people are still without health care and what not. and did we forget about our troops? whatev

wyclef JEAN and his phony charity certainly tarnishes the event… although these 'all-star' charity events are always creepily self-serving anyway: hey, look at me ! i'm sensitive ! … oh and i'm getting a great tax write-off.
why not just donate to the red cross or doctors without borders so your money has a chance of actually doing some good.

    32. 32

      OK

    33. 33

california is bound to have this disaster sooner than later. i hope just as many celebs help with that effort. 60,000 estimate to loose their life in ca in the next "big one"…who knows…. i'll probably be one

Another earthquake with a force of 6.1 hit Haiti this morning (the big one was a 7.0 magnitude quake. When does this stop? Poor people, imagine being in this situation.

    35. 35

Re: sassy111 – I'm with you; charity begins at home. We have enough of our own problems, including our shit economy.
      .
I truly feel for the people in Haiti. But I watch the news and see them sitting on their asses waiting for others to come in and give them a giant hand-out. Are they helping themselves? No. They're robbing and attacking each other. Haiti is already getting millions and millions in donations; I consider myself having already donated because my tax dollars are being spent by my government sending our military, etc., there.
      .
And shame on the celebs who use situations like these to generate some publicity for themselves. A telethon? Give me a break. Will I watch those over-paid people congratulate themselves for how liberal and generous they are in this time of crisis? Don't be ridiculous.

    36. 36

I have no idea why anyone thinks this person is such a fine looking young man. He is one fugly fugly fulgy person. Even at 2AM after drinking all night he wouldn't be good looking.

    37. 37

Are you seriously comparing your "shity" economy to Haiti's situation???????
      I really can't believe this…¬¬

    38. 38

OMG, you call yourself a blogger? Learn how to spell celeb names. P.S. Get over Gaga. She is a freak.

    39. 39

Always funny to me when people who are ignorant and racist write in broken English and misspell the names of US states. These are the bulk of the people who vote. No wonder our country is messed up. "Let's us pray" for "Massacusettes".

    40. 40

I am so sick and tired of hearing the celebrities tell us to donate. Why don't the donate their money and I will donate my time answering phones. Do they really think they are doing all they can just answering phones?? Instead they should be getting out their pens and writing checks…

    41. 41

does anyone know if this is being aired in england????
rob is soooo fit :D :D

    42. 42

      Yummy !!!!!!

    43. 43

Why do we have to read the same crap from some guy who has NJ in his name? That is the place that gave us that greasy dirty Snooky and her friends. So you hate the president but is the best you can come up with is "big ears"? Even I'm smarter than that. Maybe you should think about cleaning up NJ than another state. No one listens to you.

    44. 44

Was planning on donating, but not watching the telethon. Now with RPatzz, I will definitely be tuning in!!

    45. 45

too excited to see this, especially the JAYZ AND BONO collab

    46. 46

Do these stars keep some of the money? I am always afraid to donate money to the already rich people. Just donate to the Red Cross, Oxfam, Doctors w/o Borders, etc.

    47. 47

sassy111, what a selfish little byatch you are. People are buried alive out
there and lost the little bit they do have. Those people live on less than
a dollar a day!. Not like they are asking for much you can give a damn dollar and help! A country with over 50,000 orphans many babys living out in the streets with nothing, no daipers and formula. There are plenty out here who will and should help. Even our homeless out in the streets have it better than the people
in haiti. At least they don't have to sleep among dead bodies or on garbage dumps. If a homeless person asks for money here they might get change, not in haiti. No one has anything to give. We all live like
royalty compared to those in Haiti, you are selfish to think of yourself
when your ass has a roof and bed to sleep on. These people have nothing and
now there entire country is wiped out, what would you do?? Look the other way because we are in a recession, Oh too bad haiti but I need to get my nails done? Or do you give that $5 you would spend on your manicure to
      feed 5 orphaned children?

    48. 48

California would never see devestation of the same magnitude as Haiti.
Reason? Our buildings are built to withstand earthquakes and are not made of
thick concrete just stacked onto each other. Think of making a house with a deck of cards, that is how they build in haiti. When the quake hit they just collapsed . They don't have all the building
rules and regs they have here so the buildings were not build properly. Sure
there would be loss of life, but in haiti you are talking hundreds of thousands dead and climbing. That is just insane!!

    49. 49

Let's see where all the money goes this time.

      *roll eys*

    50. 50

OMqoSH HES SO SEXy =] YUMMiE AND THANK qOD WE STiLL HAVE SOME DECENT PEOPLE iN THiS WORLd i ALMOST GAVE UP ON MANKiND =/

    51. 51

"such a generous guy" because he's answering phones?

and Wyclef gets slated for going TO Haiti and helping them in person?

Perez I wish you were fucking dead.

    52. 52

everyone who likes robert patterson is a fucking tool.

    53. 53

I hope George asks Taylor Lautner to be part of the telethon, I’m sure it will make a lot more people decide to tune in.

    54. 54

AHHHHH !! IM SOO HAPPY !!IT'A BEEN SUCH A LONG TIME I HAVEN'T SEEN HIM !!!!
      I LOVE ROBERT PATTINSON

    55. 55

HE'S JUST NOT LOOKING THAT GREAT TO ME…….I MEAN COMPARED TO TAYLOR, C'MON NOW XOXO

    56. 56

ok i see it completely wrong that no celebrities are donating money out of der own pocket, i mean they talk a good one about bean rich and all so im sure a couple thousands if not millions wudnt hurt them to donate..its very cynical that der askin poor hard workin ppl for money, i mean if your gonna do that and you care sooo much atleast do your share and donate money too!! but instead most of them are just sending der condulences..i can do that too but its not doin anything for them ne way!!

    57. 57

Wow! They "released a statement"? Whatever happen to the good ol' days when there was a snow storm and you would go out and shovel your walk and the old lady next doors too..? Would you make a statement to her about shoveling her walk? I mean that's great that they help so many disasters in this world, but do they have to report to the press everytime they do so? There are thousands and thousands of us Americans who help out other countries and not with just money. We actually go there and pick up dead bodies, help wounded ppl,and feed the hungry. Why are these two referred to as saints? Helping people in need is one of the greatest feelings you can have, but if you have to have everyone know how much you help others your doing it for the wrong reasons. Read More: Perez Hilton: Saint Angelina & Brad Support Haiti PPL LISTEN TO ME ALL THE JOLIE-PITT'S WANT ARE PUBLICITY

    58. 58

why don't all these rich ass celebrity's donate 1 mil of their own money and quit asking Americans who are struggling everyday to make ends meat to give up what they have….I think if enough of them did that there would be plenty of money for Haiti.

    59. 59

Instead of them putting on a telethon to raise money from US, the working stiffs, why don't they get up off their big fat wallets and give money of their own. If the RICH movie stars all gave some of their riches, Haiti could be rebuilt in a week. But I guess the Rich keep their money and the poor donate their last few dollars

    60. 60

sorry robbie's naive enuf to fall into it…….

    61. 61

Ok I understand that Haiti doesnt have anything and yeah its sad, but Our country has problems of its own, dont you think with how the economy is the states & celebs should be a little bit more focused on our own country? I mean really think about it, half the countries around the world hate us, and if something like that happened to us do you think anyone would help us? Thousands of people were homeless becuase of hurricane Katrina and was there anything EVER in the news about how some other country was sending us money to help out the misplaced familes? I dont think so. We are always helping other countries, but when we're in need we have to help ourselves. I mean i understand we are the so called "greatest country" and everyone expects us to help everyone else out but HELLO AMERICA we need to help us or we're not gonna have anything left. and it pisses me off that no one ever stops and thinks, "hey, maybe we should do this to help out our own home" instend of spending billions of dollars on other countries that we are probably going to go to war with someday & yeah your all very generous and blah blah, but your a little too generous for our own good.your helping out the wrong people at the moment, it should be us now them later. its not selfish its common sense!-megan&shay
