Brittany Murphy's Husband: The Drugs Were Mine!
While we all still wait for the toxicology report, Simon Monjack has come out to say that the copious amounts of medication found at his home the day of Brittany Murphy's death were all his, not his wife's.
Among the medications reportedly found at the Los Angeles home were: Methylprednisolone, an anti-inflammatory, Fluoxetine, an antidepressant, Klonopin, a seizure medication, Carbamazepine, a medication to treat diabetes and also bipolar disorder, Ativan, an anxiety medication, and Vicoprofen, a pain killer.
Seeing as Simon is an oral cancer survivor, he says he suffers from migraines and seizures as well as a heart condition, thus the need for so much medication. But he also admits that he did share his medications with Brittany and her mother, Sharon. Brittany supposedly liked to take Vicoprofen to relieve pain from severe menstrual cramps.
We can't imagine them being that bad!

But I've totally taken ridic pain meds just for the monthly, without it being touched pain wise…probably why they don't give heavy meds out for that…even that doesn't help!

I hate it when people make assumptions about what ANYTHING feels like for another person. I have Endometriosis and dysmenorrhea. I've had cramps and pain SO BAD that I've had to go to the ER…more than once. I also have PMDD, which makes it even worse. Not that I would expect Perez to know what ANY of these medical conditions are. I take Rx pain meds and an anxiety med for my conditions and I'm not ashamed to admit it. You should really shut your fucking trap Perez, because you have NO IDEA what you are even talking about.

Hey Perez, menstrual cramps CAN be THAT bad. I've been admitted into the hospital and pumped full of demerol (bad-ass KING DADDY of pain relief) to alleviate my pain and had multiple surgeries to help treat my "woman pains"…so until you can sprout a uterus, shut-up! That's like me trying to wonder what being kicked in the nuts feels like, "can't hurt THAT bad!"

I have horrible menstrual cramps because of having cysts on my ovaries, and I have to take painkillers for it every month. Don't try to imagine that woman wouldn't need something to relieve the pain from horrible cramping. You are not female, you wouldn't even have a clue about it.

Also, try passing blood clots that are 3 inches wide in each direction, if not larger, and tell me that it doesn't hurt. Doesn't hurt for it to come out, but the process of it ripping away from your insides is a killer. Mix that with the pain of having cysts all over your ovaries, and then try to tell me that it doesn't hurt enough to take a pain killer. I am on 10 mg morphine 8 times a day, and 30 mg slow acting morphine twice a day due to a back injury, and I can feel the menstrual cramps more than you could ever imagine !
i agree with the women commenting about bad pain from cramps. Perez, it is truly obnoxious for you to act as if you know anything about it. my cramps would send me home from school, then work. now, i am on the pill and it has saved my life monthly!!! anyone here still complaining about cramps-you can do something about it. if you don't want to go on the pill your Dr. can prescribe an RX strength med that is not a narcotic that kills the cramps. i've had this before and it WORKS!

My pains are so bad I vomit and passout. No man could ever understand. The prescription painkillers I take for my pains don't even help. I can totally understand why she'd want to take something stronger. However, I think this whole situation is shady, and I sincerely hope that she didn't suffer. Monjack and her mother were on Today this morning. He was very creepy and she looked and sounded like she was on something. They insisted she didn't take drugs and was very healthy. That's hard to believe when you looked at Murphy. He also said she took anti depressants only during her period. (do they work that way?) I hope they are right, but not many 30 years olds drop dead for no apparent reason. I didn't think he was believable when he said all the meds were his. He just sounded like he was covering something up.

Re: rebecaariot. – oh shut up. who gives a crap if brittany murphy had bad cramps. you aren't supposed to share prescription medication and there's a good reason for that. drugs react differently to people depending on prior complications, or drugs that they may be taking simultaneously. vicoprofen contains hydrocodone (vicodin) which is strong enough already to be taking just for menstrual cramps. it's addictive, and when taken with other narcotics (what kind of cough medicine was she taking? was it codeine? who knows) or if accidently mixed up with one of simon monjack's benzos could cause respiratory depression and GASP. cardiac arrest! or given brittany's heart murmur (which usually aren't serious enough to cause death…) it's possible she shouldn't even take meds like hydrocodone which increase risk for heart attacks. Hence, it's her own damn fault for sharing prescription meds and playing doctor.

klonopin (clonazapam) is a benzodyazapiene ( not sure if the spelling is right on that.) so is Ativan, it's used to treat anxiety disorders NOT SEIZURES. I was addicted to benzos for years, along with many pain killers. It's interesting to me that anyone would need a prescription for Klonopin AND Ativan since they're basically the same, except Ativan is a bit weaker.

Vicoprofen is a very weak painkiller. It would be ideal for most menstrual cramps (and yes, they can DEFINITELY be that bad) because it's mostly ibuprofen, you would probably get a stomach ulcer and puke before you would OD on it.
