As Oxygen's Dance Your Ass Off enters into their next season with new host Mel B, US Weekly reports that Marissa Jaret Winokur was fired from the gig due to her size.
Guess they didn't want anyone relatable!
"The producers were constantly on her to lose weight. She was asked to wear suits to cover her arms and legs," claims a source. "She was fired for being fat."
She's lost a LOT of weight already!

Update: Oxygen and Marissa have just released the following statement.
"These rumors are completely false. It was a mutual agreement between Marissa and Oxygen to part ways. Marissa has chosen to pursue other opportunities that include a return to acting and Oxygen is looking forward to a new season of the series."

Since when is that even legal? You can't fire someone for being a certain race, religion, sexual orientation, if they have AIDS or cancer or they got preggo, so why should you be able to can someone because you think they're too fat? WTF?

Marissa is so cute and is not big at all. She's got a great personality and brings sunshine to the show. Mel B is nice too but I think Marissa is going to really be missed.

Re: Carlena – if your hired as an actor or model it actually is very legal and in almost all of their contracts. Some contracts even have a fix the problem clause for teens who get preggo.
She is fat! How are the people on the show supposed to be motivated to lose weight when they look at the host who is fat! Good idea getting someone in there who is in shape. Plus she had such an over the top annoying personality. It always seemed like she was trying too hard.

Looking at her, she isn't fat enough to be unhealthy. I was looking at the Precious girl and that girl needs to lose weight because you can see death stalking her. There is a difference between being healthy and unhealthy. Being "overweight" like having some fat on your body, and it's counterpart, being the size 0 Hollywood standard is about as unheathy as it gets. She looks like a woman.
