NBC Attempts To Regain Dignity With Scripted Programming

With Conan O'Brien out and Jay Leno back where he doesn't belongs on The Tonight Show, there are now five vacant 10 P.M. time slots to fill on NBC's lineup.
In order to fill the void until the beginning of next season, NBC is ordering more episodes from their existing series, such as Law & Order: SVU, Parks & Recreation, Community and Trauma.
Good news for those show and the first smart thing NBC has done in 3 weeks.
But then, what will you put in the 11:35 P.M. spot when Jay fails…again?

Uh…Jay never failed at 11:30 PM. He was the king for many years, overshadowing Letterman. Conan faild miserably when Jay turned over the 11:30 reins to him. I for one can't wait for the return of Leno.

NBC won't ever cancel the Tonight Show. If Jay screws up (which is doubtful), they'll find someone else.

I haven't been watching the Tonight Show…..gave Conan a chance but it was boring, I couldn't even get through his unfunny monologue. Still don't see what the fuss is about that he wouldn't take a midnight slot and his fans are gone completely whacko. I may start watching it again now that Jay will be back, I dunno. I don't quite get your reference to Jay "failing" though. Hasn't he been on top for many years now??

I only watch the office and will stop once they integrate progressive policies in their show. No longer watch Law and Order SVU because they slammed Beck, Hannity, etc. (via John Laroquette) on one show. They completely insulted Conservative radio listeners. Besides, NBC is owned by GE whose CEO is in bed with Obama and the progressive agenda.
I have none of these channels programmed in my receiver. I have never watched network TV. I have never watched Leno, Conan, Letterman. I know nothing about any of them. And I feel I have lost nothing of value.
A bit disappointing about NBC's feud with Conan…
