Pants On The Ground, But No $$$ In The Pockets!

The rough gig that is being a Internet sensation!
If you don't know what Pants on The Ground is, you probably don't watch American Idol and this is your first time on the Internet in a week.
The man behind the music, "General" Larry Platt, has seen his little diddy become an overnight sensation. What he hasn't seen is a dime for any of the parodies and remixes he's heard of his song.
Since he has written the greatest song ever created about pants being on the ground (his words), he thinks he deserves to be paid. Thus, he is lawyering up in hopes of catching what little dough is left to made off of the craze.
Hurry up, before some other freak gets on Idol and sings something funnier! There is always another crazy waiting in the wings to steal the limelight!

Give him ““ his $$$$$$$$$$$$$. He sooooooooooo deserves it!! NO ONE likes giving “ chit away “` for free!! Give him his $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.
I am not twelve years old. So I do not watch American Idol.
He should record it and put it up on iTunes if he wants to get paid.
I'm confused. People make money by posting parodies on Youtube? First of all, parodies are covered by the First Amendment so people are entitled to make them. And second, the best he can get would be to get all images of himself removed from websites–then he'll just disappear again. He needs to get creative like William Hong and do something to cash in on his fifteen minutes before it's too late.
Pay him. The song is hilarious and cool… and it's a hit. Larry ROCKS!
I just bought it on iTunes, wonder who IS getting the money?
Hmmmmmm well hope he is the one getting paid of Itunes if not that IS FUCKED Up and he will get all his money and then some ! HAHA and Karumba is SO RIGHT he cant just be a lazy fuck and expect to get a hugh payment he has to get out and do interviews and perform it elsewhere whatever … no one will remember this in another month so who really cares ! But , reallllllly Pants on the ground do be having yall lookin like fools ! HAHA
Don't be a dick Perez. American Idol is not one of the 'mainstream' watched shows here, so please don't attempt to insult us or dumb us down just because we may not watch the show.
I mean, in Australia, let me clarify
Hell yes he deserves some $$$ for that fabulous song!! It needs to be played in every school yard in the USA! Lol… Lovin Larry!! Looking like a fool whicha pants on the ground!!
Re: karumba – Not on YouTube they don't but they sure make $$ on Itunes as it is there. I think the next stop is he is trying to get it copyrighted so then he HAS to get paid. Hell ya!
Re: 6one9 – Could have fooled me with that immature comment.
what i dont understand is, isnt he past the age limit? american idol needed another internet sensation sort of feel to it…
Well parodies/covers are covered under the constitution, so he has no right to funds from those. If the song is on iTunes, it might be FOX/American Idol getting that money…I'm sure those people who try out have to sign their lives away before appearing on the show.
theres more important things than internet and tv. get your head out of your fat gay cum filled ass.
HE SHOULD get paid. STFU Perez, you and your stupid "staff" should learn some respect. What do you do? You prey on other celebrities and is a celebrity ass kisser. Fuck this shit.
This guy is a civil rights hero. He deserves to be paid for the song-rights leader or not.
Re: gravytoot – You're not 12 so you don't watch idol but you come to PerezHilton.com?? kkkkkkkkkkkkk
You know that he supports a cop killer?
GIVE HIM A RECORD DEAL!!!! William Hung had one. I want to see Pants On The Ground on the billboard charts. We all know it has the potential to be there.
Re: Melbourne Is A Tropical London – Speak for yourself, my friends and I have been watching on Fox8 =D.
If he didn't copy write the song, then he's not entitled to any payments. Although I'm not sure, doesn't American Idol make you sign a waiver of release that any song/dance performance on Idol becomes their propriety? He seems like a nice guy, but he is definitely not owed any money.
Re: Meg_Mo – My thoughts exactly. Well said.
ditty.
are you SURE you graduated from Columbia?
and what about the rip-off t-shirts I see advertised here by one of your sponsors–DonkeyTees? even his image is on them. is he getting a dime of that dough, or is it "Fuck an Old Poor Black Man Month"?
Give this man some money!!!!!!!!!!
WTF is a 'diddy'?
Or did you mean 'ditty'? Jeez…
typical
Yeah, unfortunately he didn't likely copyright his song before he performed it on the show. Once it's out there, it's out there and without the legal stuff in place first there's nothing he can do about it unfortunately. The only path he can take now is get a deal with someone to do a legit "official" version. But I'm afraid by the time all the paperwork is sorted out, the novalty of the song will have passed- unless he releases it the week of the season finale and is invited to perform it on the show. Hook up with Flo-rideror whoever and duet with him. I hear 50 Cent needs a gig since Su-Bo turned him down!
"The rough gig that is being a Internet sensation!" What happened to the grammar check here?
you can remove the quotes you twice used douche bag. He is a real general, that's his rank, and you are so nasty you can't even find a dick to suck.
it is 'Ditty' not 'Diddy'… you really are an idiot!
Re: tamzin – well said!!
he should have lawyered up BEFORE he got on tv–he'll get fucked–not a surprise at all…
He deserves the $$$$$!
Pants on the ground, pants on the ground
Lookin' like a fool with ya pants on the ground♫
