      All the stations are showing this telethon. I'm none too pleased about having no TV options, since I'm stuck at home tonight. If it can raise money, fine, but I'll find something else to do. I've already donated, btw.

      To those who say "Enough with this Haiti shit" or "Why not pay attention to the people in our own backyard," we are talking about HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of injured, homeless, already-poor people who don't have access to food, water, medical supplies, shelter — anything. This will take months, even years to even begin to clean up. And the nation of Haiti was already suffering. Do we need to help people in our own neighborhoods? Of course. But a tragedy like this can only remind us that the entire world is one big neighborhood.

      NO! As long as there are supplies on the tarmac, not getting to doctors to provide stupid deaths - NO. NO - not as long as rice falls off the back of a truck, and 2 teens grab said rice, and are SHOT DEAD IN THE BACK - NO. NO - not as long as the so called government over there left these teens to die in the road - NO. I will not be part of the corrupt government over there. I will not be part of the US sitting on their hands "securing" water and medication. It all makes me sick. Send all the money you want, but know it's NOT going to the victims!!

      Thank you hateliars. And how much of this has gone to the victims so far? not a whole hell of a lot. Millions should buy more than rice (and you shouldn't have to be shot in the back to retrieve it). You can bet that millions upon millions is going straight to the corrupt haitian goverment who will sell these supplies on the black market. The haitian goverment has always been corrupt — this is a dream for them!

      i cant donate!!… i make less than 20,000 a Year, have to pay for college and an apartment. All the celebrities are extremely OVERPAID for the shit music and movies they make and have millions and billions sitting in their bank accounts. Why dont they just each cut a check for 5 million each then that would be more than they would raise from their stupid telethon!

      I bet they spent more money for the makeup artists and hair stylists for the telethon than they actually donated…

      It was on every fricken station last night. This morning we have 35 americans still missing and NOT being looked for at the hotel. Get this - an archbishop was buried in a formal funeral, while 100,000 others were poured in a ditch without so much as a picture. There are still people without electricity and homes in New Orleans. Thanks to our economy, I'm not working, nor are many of my friends. Where is the help in the US? Why do we have to rebuild Haiti? Yup, I'm angry!!
