Want To Buy A Miracle?!

You can!
For some reason we can't understand, Capt. Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger's "Miracle on the Hudson" airliner is up for auction.
So if you are in the market for a big ass plane that's wrecked with some terrible water damage, you are in luck!
No doubt, whoever buys this clunker is going to turn it into a lot of cash with "commemorative" merchandise.

ill buy it
I wouldnt call a plane that withstood a hard water landing in one piece a "clunker". I think US Airways should buy it and put it in a museum.
Re: nathanjones – Agree. That nasty ass plane left up to someone else if bought has WATER DAMAGE!!! Water damage = MOLD… PASS!
I think the Oshkosh, WI Fly-in (EAA Museum) should buy it. Biggest fly-in in the world! I think that would be a great place for it.
mario, before you post something, GET THE WHOLE STORY!!!!!!! the wings are gone, the engines are gone…… IT IS UP FOR AUCTION FOR SCRAP…. LIKE IN SCRAP METAL… GET IT? THEY NEED TO THROW IT OUT. Now, someone might take something out of the cockpit and sell it for money, but it is like ONE BIG METAL CAN.
As an airline crew member I find it VERY odd that they would offer any part of that plane up for sale… had someone died they wouldn't dare… It's a rare commodity for a plane to land intact on water…it should be in a museum not up for sale for someone to build some kind if attraction around it!!
I wouldn't buy it. But they should put in the Smithsonian-National Air and Space Museum or the Smithsonian-National Museum of American History. It is now part of our history that had a great out come and should be there for all to see
