      HELL YEH ! Forget Christianity I'm converting to Buddhism !!!! I think it's a brilliant and beautiful Idea !!!! Such a peaceful religion too.

      The Pope likes rap. But it's just music. This buddhist rapper is a fad and once gone, wont come back…. Religion is a joke. It is there for those who are feeling particularly weak (or strong) on any given day and need something (someone) to ask of or to thank… Weak, weak individuals. There is a higher power, its name is KARMA.. a balance in our environment. Faith is what you believe and relying on that belief to keep you safe. There wouldn't be hate or love without it. Love life, Hate Perez.. that's my moto :)

      Re: on_the_perez_hate_bandwagon – You do realize that Karma comes form Hinduism (which is a religion) which is also where Buddhism comes from? Also, Buddhism is more of a philosophy than it is a religion. Also Bhuddists BELEIVE in karma. how can you be so ignorant???!!!! You're making my brain hurt…

      i have to agree with the person who said that buddhism was more of a philosophy than a religion. i like that. i definitely get more out of buddhism beliefs than any other religion. god? please. believing that being a good person will get you good things in the end? yes.

      The Buddha mainly taught three things: causation, impermanence and compassion. Every action is the cause of a result. All phenomena are impermanent. Suffering arises from clinging to that which cannot last, which causes negative karma. Happiness arises from letting go of temporary things, which causes positive karma. Compassion arises when one see others suffering with the inability to let go and just be happy. This is just a brief summary. May all beings be happy and forever free of suffering.

      Represent! :] im a buddhist myself and I LOVE IT! i don't quite know anything and i learned a bit more while being in the buddhist group at uc Irvine. I pray everyday and I totally believe in Karma. Now what I didn't know is that Buddhist are not supposed to believe in the soul… something i found recently in a textbook for philosophy class, yet my parents said that's not true cause otherwise karma wouldn't work lol … But yea most of the time when im hounded by christian groups at school… i am happy that im in a more tolerant religion but i tell them they can just use it as a philosophy of life. BUDDHA said he was not our god. he is merely here to teach his discovery to happiness and whatever you do to attain it will give you the utmost peace. and i respect others who chose christianity or catholicism… it's clearly their choice! they believe in it and it is good for them. I believe in buddha and I find myself super happy in life even in all this suffering for some reason. :] peace for everyone :]
