Apparently, even child molesters can get work.
While director/scumbag Roman Polanski enjoys his vacation house arrest in Switzerland, his wife, actress Emmanuelle Seigner, was nice enough to inform French Elle that the 76 year old is currently working on a film adaptation of the Tony Award winning play God of Carnage, written by Yasmina Reza.
Polanski, who was convicted in 1978 for having sex with a 13 year old girl, has been skirting authorities ever since, until finally being apprehended by Swiss police in December. He's currently finishing post-production on the Ewan McGregor/Pierce Brosnan thriller The Ghost Writer.
Honestly, just gross.
You better watch out, Roman, karma is a tricky bitch and we're optimistic you'll get yours soon!!

I wish people would stop posting that he was convicted. He wasn't! There was never a trial! He pled to a lesser charge for what he thought would be time served. Then the judge rejected the plea. Please stop trying to rewrite history.

One, he was younger at the time as well, two, it didn't sound like rape to me, it sounds like this girl knew what she was doing at her age. He pled guilty to unlawful relations with a minor. He never pled guilty to rape. He was sentenced and completed the sentence and then the judge decided it was not sufficient punishment and he fled the US. Whether you agree with the sentence or not makes no difference as the justice proceedings were tainted. He is not a rapist and the entire trial was only to get money from him which he paid, and it was a very generous settlement. The victim is satisfied, Polanski served his sentence. Stop sensationalizing a non story as usual Mario. Your outrage and vindictiveness is as phony as you are. Funny how 99 percent of the actors/actresses in "El Lay" support him while you bash him. Correct me if I am wrong but aren't these the same 99 percent that you would glady crawl up their asses if they would give you the time of day? Sucks to be you Mario.
How is it that Hollywood gets up in arms/completely ostracizes someone who, say, commits a PC "crime" when blind drunk (Gibson), but Roman Polanski somehow gets a free pass when he deliberately drugs a 13 year-old and then rapes her in the ass? How is it that the Hollywood system that destroys careers for what amounts to free speech in private or in the heat of an argument can let this blatant double standard exist? I'll tell you: because actors are the most selfish, egotistical, hypocritical, greedy whores that ever walked this planet. They'll line up to condemn their fellow actors' (people who cannot make or break their careers) politically incorrect speech and wear all the yellow fucking wristbands they can find, but if a child molester or rapist DIRECTOR like Woody Allen or Polanski (guys who can make or break their career) commits a deliberate and horrible act, they're strangely mute. If that isn't immoral, I don't know what is. Cowards!

You mean the fact that Roman Polanski survived the Holocaust and the murder of his entire family - not to mention the later savage murder of his 8 month pregnant wife, Sharon Tate, and her 7 friends at the hand of Charlie Manson's "family" in 1969 wasn't quite enough for Mr. Polanski's "karma" for you? You must do some research!

Re: Johnsonbrewster – If you read the trial transcripts to see what happened, it is very clear that Polanski: 1) Photographed a topless 13 year-old girl, using up at least three rolls of film; 2) Gave illegal narcotics (Quaaludes) and alcohol to same; 3) Had oral, vaginal, and anal sex with a 13 year-old girl. From the transcripts, it is clear what his intent was (to fuck a 13 year-old girl), and he used drugs, alcohol, a "safe" (for him) and unfamiliar setting, and his authority as an older man to coerce a reluctant child into doing something that she very clearly was not inclined to do. She got in over her head for whatever reason (foolish and permissive mother for starters) and no matter how you wish to spin it, Polanski is a lout and a cad and he knew damned well what he was doing was morally wrong and a criminal act. He was a predator, pure and simple, and took advantage of a precocious 13 year-old. The laws he was prosecuted under were established precisely to protect underage girls from men such as Polanski and he deserves to be punished. So fuck him and fuck you for backing him up, you ignorant swine.
