Are Brangelina Anti-Red Carpet This Year?

No sign of them at the Golden Globes or the SAG Awards, and now we are hearing that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie will be no-shows for the Oscars, despite the rumors that they have been coordinating outfits.
What gives?
A source suggests that Brad may have to play the Dad bit that evening, while Angie heads to France to film The Tourist with Johnny Depp. While we agree that quality time spent with Johnny Depp is ten times more important then any red carpet, it doesn't instill too much confidence that things are smooth sailing for Brangelina.
Could this trip overseas be coming just in time? Or perhaps they are just both sick of being gawked at and asked stupid questions all night long!

These two are a beautiful couple with a wonderful family - why does the media keep insisting they break up??? The media wants them to break up, and that makes me sick. Let them live in peace. They're super-busy and very much in demand. I'm sure it's hard making it work and keeping the spark - but if anyone can do it, it's these two.
