Dumb! Yup, Elin Is Determined To Work It Out For Real
Yesterday sources leaked a play-by-play of Elin Norgedren's discovery of Tiger Wood's unbelievable amounts of douchebaggery, and the subsequent beatdown she gave him. Scorned lovers all over the world cheered.
Today, new, more depressing sources are confirming speculation that Elin, 30, is attempting to reconcile with Tiger while he undergoes sex addiction rehab at the Gentle Path clinic in Hattiesburg, MI. And it kind of bums us out.
The source says:
"Elin wants a solid family life. She was a child of divorce and felt her dad slighted her. She absolutely does not want that to happen to Sam and Charlie. So she wants to keep her family together even if she and Tiger live together as friends instead of lovers."
Woods is also apparently ready to clean up his act, kick the swamp donkeys cocktail waitresses to the curb, and commit. DUH. That's what you say when you've fucked yourself six ways to Sunday.

We don't know what this marriage was like for Elin and Tiger. They could have had a wonderful relationship. No one knows what Tiger's motives were for cheating like he did. Was it attention, sex, power, habit or the excitement of it all? He became famous very young and it seems like his Dad was not a good example at being faithful. Who knows when this behavior started or why? If Elin really loves him and believes her really loves her than it is worth it to try and fix the marriage. Their two kids are so young and divorce can be awful on the children. It is important to really be sure that a marriage can't be saved. I think Elin is being smart by taking the time to make a good decision. I wish her the best and I hope, whatever she decides, that it works out wonderfully for her.

I'm part of a family where the parents stayed together for the kids (hell i'm the product of what was supposed to be a one night stand) and i can say from experience everyone involved would be alot happier had my parents split up.
But in todays world, i can think of million$ of reasons why she would stay with him, trust me, i would to.

I take issue with the statement "It's never a good idea to stay together for the kids" especially as it comes from somebody whose only experience of 'parenting' is looking after a dog (very cute though he may be). As a mother of 2 children I know now what it is to be largely responsible for another human's happiness and security. Before I had children I would have agreed with that statement… but now I understand that being a good parent is prioritising their needs above your own and no, it isn't a hardship or a sacrifice (I am neither a saint nor a doormat) but the natural response of a loving parent and a privilege to do so. I will admit that I am married to an incredible man whom I love more now than I did when I first met him 22 years ago so I am extremely fortunate not to be in this poor woman's position but even if I were I am confident my position would be the same.

Unless there is violence and/or extreme discord in the home and separation is the only way to protect the children from that I would be hard put to justify breaking up the family and depriving children (especially ones so young) of that basic security. I am a child of divorced parents myself, I was a teenager when they separated and still found it completely devastating so I do have experience of what I'm talking about. NB I do NOT wish to imply that single parent families are not as loving or cannot provide as much security as a traditional 'nuclear' family (because I KNOW many can) but that it can be awfully hard on children who have this fundamental security taken away from them especially if their parents can be mature and selfless enough to find a way to live together peaceably at least through those crucial formative years. Elin Woods is not dumb… she obviously takes her responsibilities as a parent seriously and that should be commended not berated.

It is between them and we don't know what their relationship is like. She is a child of divorce and knows what that is like. If she ultimately decides to end the marriage she will know she tried. That is important to be able to tell the children as they get older. Any work they do now will help if the do end up divorcing. They are both parents to these two children and are linked forever.
We don't know why she was there anyways. Perhaps it was to work out how things will be when they divorce. All of this is just speculation. No matter what they are deciding the best interest of the children is their priority.
