WTF happened to his Oscar?!
Forest Whitaker is in final talks to star in and possibly produce a spinoff of the hit CBS show Criminal Minds.
This show will center around a new group of profilers who work outside the FBI. Whitaker will portray Cooper, a charming and mysterious father figure to the crew. His character, who was a successful in the Behavioral Unit and has been MIA for the past eight years, will be introduced on an upcoming episode of Criminal Minds.
Snooze.

What does it matter if he does a tv show! There are a few oscar winners doing tv shows right now. Holly Hunter, Ernest Borgnine and Shirley Jones won oscars and then went to tv. Glen Close was nominated 5 times and she is on tv. Stop being such an idiot.
He was already on TV once before He was on the Shield for 2 seasons were he played one of the best character's on the show.

Uhhh, no thanks. Forest Whitaker is an awesome actor and all that, but Criminal Minds without real CM cast? I don't think that would be very interesting in any way, shape, or form. Spinoffs are never as good as the originals anyways.
A Criminal Minds spinoff? It sounds like a spinoff of The Academy Group Inc. (Look it up peeps, Roger Lapue is the founder of the real one with others from the CIA, FBI, and other experts) who's founder was the head of the BSUnit from the beginning and is what it is today because of him. The book he wrote based on his experiences is the most incredible story you will ever read. The real unit would be nothing if not for his efforts.
