Yes indeed, and in a very Oprah fashion.
This morning in New York, Martha Stewart struck up a "multi-year strategic alliance" with the Hallmark Channel to bring original programming via her media company, Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia Inc, and her morning show, The Martha Stewart Show, to the network.
Starting in the fall, no longer will Martha be baking pies and setting tables for the peacock. Instead, she will have an almost 3 hour block of programming slated in the mornings on the cable network, starting with The Martha Stewart Show and continuing with 90 minutes of original shows.
That is one hell of a void to fill, NBC. Think Jay Leno has enough time to learn how to crochet?
