Nancy Grace Is NOT Ready For Her Close-Up

Nancy Grace is being sued by the parents of Melinda Duckett, who took her own life allegedly after Nancy suggested on-air that Duckett may have been responsible for the disappearance of her child!
Now Nancy's deposition is scheduled for Thursday in Atlanta and she doesn't want it videotaped for fear it could be manipulated and taken out of context in the future. Her lawyers states:
"The risks associated with releasing deposition videotapes prior to trial are high due to video's unique ability to be abused as they can be cut and splice and used as 'sound bites' and taken wholly out of context."
Both Grace and CNN have opposed to the videotaping of the depo because they believe it "would serve no purpose but to further harass, embarrass and intimidate Ms. Grace and corrupt the jury pool."
Oh because Nancy Grace doesn't live to harass, embarrass and intimidate others!

I love watching Nancy Grace, but so true! Wonder if her fill in will be covering the story with a live video stram from the court room!
These are the consequences when you use your show as a bully pulpit and shout out innuendos. People sometimes refuse to see the difference between innuendo and facts. Sometimes it is necessary to temper ur words Nancy. Now that she's on the defnesive, she should be fully capable of handling those of her ilk. Besides if things are spliced etc atleast she has her OWN show to DEFEND herself. Therefor, RELEASE the deposition!

Hubris. Pure hubris. maybe this will teach her to not pass half truths, speculations, innuendos etc off as facts. I will never forget how she mercilessly went after another person Gary Condit, and labeled him as guilty ( he never was). Rather than manfully swallowing a piece of humble pie and APOLOGIZE to Condit, she chose to post a crawler stating that he has been cleared of all charges. Shameful behavior…even if Condit is an ass.
For the record that little boy is still missing.
Nancy is the most narcissistic individual I have ever watched. Not only does she disrespect her guests by rudely interjecting her shatty opinions right in the middle or their or their explanations or rebuttals, she will just have her producer filter out "great comebacks" that her guests wage upon her to make a point to which she has no response.
Notwithstanding the above, she does seem to receive breaking news. As a criminal justice professional, she does seem to get a lot of good tips fast. She still sucks ass though.
Oh, and I forgot, everyone wants to see every move Nancy's children make from squatting in the pot to picking their nose, stop sucking up. Nancy hates your ass too!!!

In this situation you have a Charles manson type A bully that POSITION personal convictions and innuendos as facts and then we the PUBLIC regurgitate it towards the victim who eventually cracks and takes a swan dive. Maybe you should take note Perez, you frequently make defamatory comments based on your own musings which is exactly what Grace did. When you word reach a large audience legal duties arise in what you decide to write about people…. I often wonder if you are consulting attorneys enough because it seems that your comments are borderline often….one of these days Perez someones gonna have a case a lot stronger than Samantha and you are going to pay pay pay or worse someone is going to get hurt like in this case.

Perez, are you aware of ANY of the facts in this case? If you did you wouldn't be calling Nancy a bully. The mother told conflicting versions of her story to various outlets of the press and couldn't keep them all straight. When Nancy pressed her on the issue she was incapable of answering the questions of where she had been, who she had been with, etc. The mother was playing games with her story and Nancy was the only one brave enough to call her out on it. And yes, for the record, the child has never been found.
I wouldn't let them videotape it either. Standard objection. Get real. Are you even familiar with the Melinda Duckett case? Her poor parents are only grasping at straws here because they can't bear the thought of their grandson and daughter being gone in this way. Do you honestly think Nancy Grace gives two shits about being deposed? Hardly. This girl more than likely killed her child and then killed herself because she couldn't take the heat. Yes, Nancy Grace can be overbearing but she mainly is a children's advocate and has helped get the truth out and helped to get the perpetrator to justice. This is what type of person you want on your side in a life or death situation.
you leave out the fact that the mother's attorney advised her to NOT speak on what she was doing on the day her son went missing. The point is, WE DON'T KNOW, The boy is STILL MISSING But more importantly, we might never know if the mother is guilty or not because Nancy Grace portrayed her as such via conjecture and innuendo. We don't KNOW. But to get to the point of the original post. SHe's being HYPOCRITICAL. She plays depositions ALL THE TIME! Why is she scared of her own? Doesn't she have a platform to defend herself on where as us common folk do not?

I would rather have people report the FACTS not SLANT things for their own didactic purposes. the issue here is NOT about the missing boy, if the mother killed him or not, if the mother is mentally unstable etc. that's a lot to assume since there is no body. However, a deposition is run of the mill why doesn't she want hers recorded? She has nothing to hide so why fear it? And lets not forget she loves playing them on HER show so she can "clean up" any misrepresentaion IF anyone does that. Gimme a break. Everybody was CONVINCED Condit did it and she couldn't even muster up an apology tho she led the "he's guilty as hell" marching band!

She does a lot of good on her show but she does have a tendacy to be judgemental and take sides before all the facts surface. Example: The Hailey case in Florida she was so quick to judge Hailey bio mom and put her through the ringer and her attorney and seemed to back the father. Now months later the father and step mom are in jail and the bio mom has the little boy. She should feel bad and have egg all over her face for her crude statements and beat down on this mom in the numerous interviews she had on live TV with this mom & her attorney. She barely let them get a word in. Nancy is there to report the facts and the news and try to help bring loved ones back to their families which is good and she has done a lot of good but she is prosticuting these maybe cases before they get to trial. I thought her show was to be about reporting not condemming. She clearly misses the court room and should go back and do what she does best. Beat downs in front of a jury and judge not on TV before all the facts are in. I realize she is trying to help unfortunate people find their loved ones but stepping on toes is not the way to do it and finding them guilty before it goes to trial is not right either. A person is innocent until proven guilty in this country. I am not surprised this is taking place because of her one side views she has a tendacy to take. Being partial would be the high ground for her to practice in the future.

She does not know exactly what happened that day, no one does, and it is a very dangerous thing to point the finger without ACTUAAL PROOF!! To say 'this woman more than likely' is resonsible is idiotic and extremely dangerous! The law is the way it is for a reason, you can't convict someone on a 'more than likely' scenario!@ And yes…freedom of speech and all that, but it comes with a resposibility, and if Nancy Grace is going to pretty much accuse a woman of being responsible for her childs disappearance, she better be able to handle the consequences of making such an accusation.
