Orlando Bloom Pities R-Patz

Orlando Bloom showed up at the Sundance Film Festival this weekend. Though he didn't have a movie to promote at the Festival, he didn't mind taking time out to comment on some other celebrities and their work.
When asked about his former glory days as a beloved Hollywood stud, Orly recalled how he was able to cope with the instant celebrity and relished that is was someone else's problem now. He said:
“I kept myself busy with work but now, it’s crazy! Look at that guy Robert Pattinson. The poor guy can’t go anywhere now!”
Sure, can't go anywhere but up! The guy is working on at least three movies, besides the final installment of the biggest franchise in the last year, while you are…well, what exactly are you doing with yourself these days?

Just because he's not doing super already popular movies doesn't mean he's not working. His movie Main Street is in post-production and they're still shooting The Cross. Not to mention the two others in development.

You might want to do some fact checking before you post stuff like this. Orlando was there to promote a movie: Sympathy for Delicious. Like other commenters, I don't think he meant any offense to Robert Pattinson; just an observation how much crazier it is for Robert than it was for him. His quote has been taken out of context; he was being asked about blogs, etc and he was saying how crazy it is for Pattinson as people can find out more stuff via blogs.
I don't think it's an insult. He feels bad that Rob Pattinson can't do anything without people reporting it. "OMG HE DRANK A SMOOTHIE!!!!" "OMG HE SCRATCHED HIS ASS!!" and it's all front page news.
That's what happened to Orlando, and now that the attention is off of himself, he feels bad for the next guy that had that happen to.

What I will say is anyone who has talked to and met Orlando comments about what a nice person he is. I am quite sure he is relieved to have all the chaos that surrounded him when he was filming Kingdom of Heaven and other movies behind him. I'm sure RPattz would love to give it back in a heartbeat. Fame comes and goes, careers change as Rob's will too. And Orlando is still the most gorgeous man I've ever seen.

One more thing, do the words Lord of the Rings or Pirates of the Caribbean ring a bell to you? They were part of the highest grossing movies of all time and praised by critics alike while your Robert acts along to a book with an incredibly lame story line, the past 2 movies so far have not been well received by critics, getting lukewarm reception at best for both and the majority of the people who saw the movies were in fact teenage girls while the other movies appealed to those of us who followed a more compelling story (or those who love Johnny Depp) Oh yeah, poor Orlando, for having been in movies that will be remembered in movie history, while Robert will fade into obscurity in a few years with less than memorable movies.
