Verizon is planning to cut a whopping 13,000 jobs after posting losses!

      they already started cutting those jobs last week. news is late on this one.

      not good for their customers? how about not good for the people losing their jobs? so much for job growth in the economy.

      I'm planning on dumping Verizon as soon as my contract is up to get an iPhone. They can keep sending me all these phone offers as they're doing right now but I'm counting a matter of weeks.

      It has nothing to do with the union, it is corporate greed through and through. Notice they still profitted billions. It has to do with corporate greed, just like the bastards at AT&T, who is AGAIN, surplusing my husbands job. And this is not the wireless division, it is the landline. Which is the backbone of the communications. Just trying to make a buck.

      no, it does have a good bit to do with the union, and yes, some corp greed, too. your husband should join up. if he is a hard worker, he'll enjoy making damn good money while only putting out an 1/8 of the effort. with the builds vz is doing, they couldn't afford for the union to strike when they re-upped the contract this past summer.
