We sure hope it was sanitized!

Gisele Bunchen is overjoyed with the birth of her son Benjamin Brady, but it seems he was delivered in quite the unusual way.

"I gave birth in the bathtub," said the model, referring to the one in the Boston penthouse she shares with her hubby, Tom Brady.

The underwater birth - not for the weak of feminine parts heart!

    t.m.i. :\

  2. 2

I am soooo jealous that she gets to sleep with Tom Brady every night….I bet their baby is absolutely beautiful and when he grows up…watch out!

  3. 3

    It really isn't that unusual….

  4. 4

Cool, congratulations. I want a little boy :( Anyone want to be my baby daddy? lol

  5. 5

Perez, you really do not know much about childbirth..
Varm water is a painreliever and the baby is used to being in water so its actually a very comfortable way to be born.
I delivered the same way with my second child, didnt need epidural, nothing but the water. It was a great experience..

  6. 6

    tittayssssssssssssssssss

  7. 7

    too much information, lady. gross.

  8. 8

Thats not unusual at all.its actually becoming more common and apparently easier to give birth cause the hot water helps to relax the mother

  9. 9

does that still mean that her V exploded?

  10. 10

so what perez so did i its really quite common, im glad she wasnt too rich to push like the rest of them!!

  11. 11

"not for the weak of feminine parts" ? you are fucken retarded. here's a tip: if you know nothing of childbirth, maybe you should shut the FUCK up. fyi, underwater births are very comfortable for the mother (moreso than laying on a cold fucken table), and they are good for the baby.

  12. 12

Water birth is actually fairly common (read: It's NOT unusual, Perez - do a little research), and is a much more natural and safe way to give birth. So many celebrities these days are "too posh to push," so they schedule unnecessary C-sections, and don't even consider natural birth. Gisele did the right thing, and she should be applauded!

  13. 13

Bath births are quite common honey!

  14. 14

Ohh u are such an ignorant Perez, births in bathtubs are not as rare as you believe. Instead of being talking trash about celebrities such as KSTEW, JSIMPSON and JANISTON you should investigate more before talking without any knowledge.

  15. 15

Water births really aren't than unusual….

  16. 16

Are you kidding? The bathtub is one of the best places to give birth. The warm water helps to ease labor pains. Women give birth like this everywhere these days especially in CA.
Do some research before you judge.

And considering the fact that you don't even have a uterus, maybe you should STFU when discussing things you obviously know nothing about.

  17. 17

    Re: SheeBop

Well said. I wanted to have a water birth with my kids, but I was too naive about childbirth the first time around and the second time around I needed to get my tubes tied… so it wasn't really an option for me. I think it would be an amazing experience though.

  18. 18

Grrr….you know NOTHING about childbirth so your stupid, insensitive and inappropriate comments are not needed on this story. God you are becoming more and more despicable every day you asshole!

  19. 19

Underwater births have been around for a long time. Nothing unusual.

  20. 20

At least she did not get a C-section like most of the Hollywood women who cannot stand the suffering that comes with childbirth. Congratulations Giselle !

  21. 21

it is actually supposed to help with pain-you excersize in water, it is easier. Not for the faint of heart??? Mario, it is just the us regular peons do not get these opinions with our medical insurance and most of us can not go outside the grid, especially if we have any problems…..

  22. 22

so it's considered "normal" to have a c-section and epidural, but people think you are a weirdo when you give birth naturally at home.

  23. 23

Water births are the quite popular now, I am considering one myself….way to go Giselle for not being a typical celeb and scheduling a C section…I like her even more now. Girl is real!

    Re: Tinalouise
I would be more than willing to distract her so you could have some alone time w/Tom. LOL!

As for you, Mario- do some research before you make your uninformed sad comments.

  25. 25

Seriously, choosing to have a natural birth should be applauded, not mocked. Good for her!

  26. 26

one of the best ways to give birth! it helps ease labor pains. so shut up Perez, you don't know crap.

  27. 27

Do you ever research anything before you post it? Giving birth in water is a great way to have a baby. Plus they say you have more of a bond with your child that way because the baby isn't separated from you as soon as you give birth. You really know nothing.

  28. 28

I'm pretty sure that's a shot of Jane Mashburn in the background, no?

  29. 29

it's not an "unusual way" to give birth, dipshit.

  30. 30

hey Perez, just because you call yourself a Queen and are a bitch doesn't mean you have a vagina or a Uterus so you are pretty uneducated in the child bearing department. And for the people saying this is gross, too much info, or anything of the sorts, umm…seriously, HOW OLD ARE YOU and HOW IN THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU GOT HERE??

  31. 31

Uh-water birth, and laboring in warm water has been done for a loooong time. Even in hospital births-every L and D suite at our local hospital has its own tub for pregnant women who choose to labor and/or give birth in the water. It makes labor more manageable for the mom, and often helps to prevent unnecessary interventions.

  32. 32

that's not unusual at all, dumbass. on the contrary, it's quite common.

  33. 33

Perez, this is called a 'Home Birth' and honey, it's normal now. You must know this?

  34. 34

    Beautiful Portuguese lady.

  35. 35

I guess this means she is laying off the cocaine?

  36. 36

    It's actually quite common Perez.

  37. 37

Water births are very common actually fucktard.

  38. 38

i didn't know she had a home birth. awesome, congrats to her and tom!

but perez, you truly are an idiot sometimes. dear gawd, think before you post… or at least do a google search! there is nothing unusual or unsanitary about having a water birth. not for the weak of feminine parts/heart? wtf does that even mean?

  39. 39

don't congratulate her too much on the not having a c-section like most of Hollowood's "too posh to push" crowd, I'm sure this twit would have if she could, but models HAVE to have vaginal births when possible because their careers would be over if they have a c-section scar.

  40. 40

giving birth in a tub is a VERY common way to go!!

  41. 41

Am I the only one in the world who thinks that she is not all that good looking??? Kick ass body yes, but the face…..

  42. 42

Oh sweet, another supermodel i can scratch off my list to do since they have a destroyed va-jay-jay now ^_^

Re: Azorean – She's Actually Brazilian not Portuguese, She Speaks Portuguese…

  44. 44

Re: Me Myself and I – My thoughts exactly!!

  45. 45

Re: jessica115 – That is the most idiotic fucking comment I've ever heard. First of all, c-section scars are not visible, even on a lingerie model. Secondly, c-sections are much more risky to mother and baby and the vast majority of women (including celebrities, but maybe excluding some celebrity idiots who don't know better) would rather give birth naturally than have themselves sliced open. The recovery process is not even comparable. Perhaps she did it because she's not quite as dumb as you.

  46. 46

Re: Lily-Lu – I couldn't agree more, she is not good-looking at all, I am better looking than her and am just an ordinary office worker. She must have a very efficient agent to boost her image, you can make people believe anything. I don't find her husband handsome either, he looks effeminate to me. Quite an ugly couple if you ask me.

  47. 47

Here's a tip Perez: Watch your friend Ricki Lake's documentary The Business of Being Born, then repost a comment about Giselle's informed decision. Your tune will be CHANGED!

  48. 48

Its a fabulous way to give birth. Not unusual. Non-medical, holistic, real. P-Perezy, you think you know it all.

  49. 49

A c-section scar isn't a huge gaping side to side scar like a tummy tuck morons. Its very low and under the bikini line. You couldn't see it with a bikini on anyway. So thats ridiculous, I applaud Giselle for having her baby natural instead of scheduling a c section like most celebrities. I bet her baby boy is gorgeous.

  50. 50

NOW THATZ WHAT YOU CALL GHETTO!!

  51. 51

Newsflash Mario - it's called the LeBoyer Method and it's been around since the 70's (although I am sure it was happening way before that "informally" before Dr. LeBoyer coined the term). Jeez. I'd join the others and say "do your research" but you are not interested in fact, only opinion. I realize I'm a bit of a hypocrite as I am looking at a gossip site, but c'mon, stick to what you began this site for or do what everyone says and try to improve your breadth of knowledge, for goodness' sake.

  52. 52

    perez you're a fucking moron.

  53. 53

I bet Tom had a fish net at hand.

  54. 54

Wet n wild? You are talking about birth you fucking loser! Shut the fuck up.

  55. 55

I am having a waterbirth in May.. good for her:)

  56. 56

Stick to what you are good at, and delivering babies is for sure something you have no clue. I like your site, but don´t give stupid unnecessary comments.

  57. 57

C-sections have become so popular because of lazy doctors. It's much easier for them to set a date and time for a surgery than wait for the expecting mom to call them (sometimes in the middle of the night) and maybe spend a few hours in labour.
Here in Brazil, doctors get paid much more for performing a C-section than when assisting a natural birth.
It's irresponsible, risky and personally I consider a mutilation to have an unnecessary C-section. It's a procedure that should be done in special cases, not just to make a doctor more comfortable with working hours or to avoid pain during birth.
It's absurd the amount of sh*t said about natural birth. Modern medicine has made it safe for both the mom and the baby!

  58. 58

Water births are the most natural way to have a baby. If my husband and I have another child we are doing tow things different then we did with our first two. This time we will not find out the sex of the baby & I will have a water birth!! But not a tub, in a little pool :) In my living room! Maybe…I am a wimp with pain!

  59. 59

Perez, you need to do a little research, water births are quite common.
I'm happy for Gisele and more so happy that she isn't "too posh to push".

  60. 60

I've never had a baby, BUT! I'd rather have a c-section (the way my mom had me back in the 80s) than having an stretched out vagina.

yeah bitches! that's what c-sections are for!

and stop whining cause you can't afford to have one.

  61. 61

You are a fucking idiot! Many woman give birth " home and in water… educate yourself!

  62. 62

Actually Perez, this is a common way to give birth. I didn't do it myself, but the birthing room where i had my daughter had a large tub in it.

  63. 63

Way to go Gisele! It’s about time we take birthing out of a hospital and put it back to where it belongs! Birthing is a natural thing and only 5% of births today actually require medical attention and 95% of those 5% can be for seen and get to a hospital with PLENTY of time. Having a c-section or as I like to put it MAJOR ADOMIAL SURGERY is way too common and over used. Congrats to Gisele and Tom and I hope this makes other "celebrities" to come out and speak about their natural and homebirths!

  64. 64

The maid who had to clean that tub deserves a raise!!!

  65. 65

uh okay they do it all the time its called a water birth ! Big deal! Her bathrub is most likely the size of half our living rooms anyhow LMAO So WHATEVER not a story worthy of posting in my eyes! Pfft.

  66. 66

I'll be having a water birth in March… my second birth with midwives! Best way to go. Do your research Perez!

  67. 67

Re: Diorella – Sweet Diorella, a cesarean section is a procedure to surgically extract babies in order to save the life of the baby and or Mother - not to prevent the temporary stretching of the mother's vagina - something which is made to stretch for birth with special hormone's present only during pregnancy and birth. Women are to built to give birth vaginally, and babies are built to pass through the vagina. Good for Mom, good for baby.
