I love Mimi but this is like three of her videos mushed into one. its boringand is blatantly one sweet day meets through the rain- nick cannon cannot direct. Blatant product placement made me puke. The Angel Champagne and the Perfume- gross. I especially like the Gold glitter wedge heels with hoody and stretch leggings. So the perfect combo. Yes 1997 is over mariah get with the green screen.

I think this single is the only chance Mariah has at a hit. Although, I do agree with #4 in that this song did not need to be remixed and was beautiful in it's original version. Now… Up Out My Face… that song was a total dud (like the whole Memoirs album) and Nicki's addition makes the song barely passable solely because Nicki is a very entertaining personality with a great delivery.
Mariah needs not have so much intimate one on one with camera so much cause she blows it. She doesnt have that capability to make a video in that capacity. Also her look is bad, hair bad, song looks like video from "I will make it through the rain". Quality of video thumbs down and song is just bland. She stuck in an era. Lastly there are not enough props wardrobe wise to make her look thin… and the ones used appear to have more of a Miss Piggy affect. NO BUENO.
OK. At least she's dressed in the video. The video could be so much better.

I'm SO PISSED for her. She needs new PR people ASAP. Her new album is incredible, but I don't understand why they're choosing the singles that they are. HATU and Angels Cry are great songs, but they're not singles!!! Her songs Ribbon, Just Friends, Candly Bling, Standing O, Inseperable…those are all radio worthy!!! The album could have been a much bigger success, and I think there are a lot of people out to sabotage her. The disc has been on replay in my car since it came out - it really is fantstic!!! She is a has been and all her recordings sound just the same just different words to same old music.

This song is one of Mariah's best! I'm so happy they decided to release this! The video is taking it back to her earlier days. No matter what Mariah does though, people always have to hate. Why??? Mariah is amazing as an artist. She comes up with the most beautiful melodies and writes her songs herself. Because I relate to alot of it, I feel like she's lyrically on point. She looks beautiful and Neyo really added something here. Also, MC is not fat. She's a little bigger than she was a couple of years ago but this is the real world. Weight fluctuates. So what? well….I think the video is cute. very reminiscent of her 90s video "one sweet day" with Boyz II Men. However, her vocal abilities have diminished over the years…so the songs don't seem to have the same emotional effect on me.
I miss the mimi (and her voice) from the 90s. Classic songs back then. She should have taken longer breaks between albums to preserve her vocal cords. so sad. She still sings beautifully, but no where near as powerful. Her ballads used to have chilling effects (in a good way).

People worship GaGa who is being compared to Madonna…so really she's not anything special - just Madonna part 2. In my opinion Mariah Carey is an almost irreplaceable talent. I'll admit that she's not at the top of her game right now but this is a great ballad and Mimi demands some GOD DAMN RESPECT.
Wow. She has normal clothes on, and is actually being herself and letting a bit of her own personality and musical personality shine through. The only eye rolling posing is outside in the rain for brief bits, but later when she sings out there it actually looks sincere. I like it a lot. I hope she opens up even more, because there's probably a pretty cool person in there. Forget the fantasy starlet thing, because the real Mariah, where ever she is, is likely far better, warts and all.
I never did get why all of her former videos were always presented like she had to be every guy's visual wet dream, because when she started out she was already much more than that. She was a singer. Now that she seems happy with Nick, maybe she can resist all of the cotton candy looksism for the most part, and have it go back to being about the tune, and the music.
