What's Next For Zacquisha?!
Our little Zefron is all growns up and now, he wants to prove it on film!
In an attempt to go from teen heartthrob to leading man, Zac Efron has a few projects lined up that he hopes will take him to the big time.
He just signed on for Fire, an adaptation of a graphic novel that will be his first action movie. He'll play a college kid recruited by the CIA, only to discover that he's being trained for a program that produces expendable agents.
The next film is reminiscent of Back to the Future. It brings together two projects. One was a pitch from writers
Tim Calpin and Kevin Jakubowski and the other is a WB project called Algorithm, which will be helmed by Forgetting Sarah Marshall director, Nick Stoller. Zefron would even be executive producing!

"Announcements" of future projects like these are worth the public relations letterhead that they are written on - in other words, nothing.

Sure, the Poof Pony's agent at CAA (Mickey whatever his name is) is pitching projects, but there is no guarantee that any of them will ever reach the production stage.

At this point, a 5'7" pretty-boy musical theater queen taking on an action hero role is as ludicrous as expecting Amy Winehouse to do an ad for MADD. Poofie will HAVE TO put up his own money, because no one who wants to keep their job will commit Other People's Money to these kinds of projects.

The tweenie crowds are leaving Pooferella behind, Lautner and that Bieber kid are already the objects of their affection. Only reality-challenged trailer-park oompla-loompas and their ilk still care about Zilly Zackie….
